About two years past after last post on this thread, this summer，I come back home village again， I come back two times per year. the small village with 250m×250m area and less 400 people

My parents still live there, I work in other cities now, and I go back for two months every year.

But at the beginning of this year, our village has been moved, and a higher Vocational Skill training school will be built there.

The new residence is still under construction, and the plan is as follows.

Why did they move the village? Will the new school and the residence be built on the same site?

Because according to the plan, the developer and we signed the agreement according to the government's compensation standard.

A new school will be built where our village is and on the farmland behind it.Our new place of residence will be built next to the new school. My family signed an agreement to receive 3 new houses of total 300 square meters(You can choose from four types of houses: 140 square meters, 120 square meters, 100 square meters and 80 square meters. We choose 120, 100 and 80 square meters).

it's a Polytechnic College, The total investment is 180 million dollars，Covering an area of 230,000 square meters，It's much bigger than our village.

When it is finished, our new residence will be next to the college，The extra house should be easy to rent.
The new settlement will be larger than the original one, because the two surrounding small villages will also move to the new settlement.

In the UK the govt never plans anything so ambitious and when it does people keep complaining and stopping any progress in rural areas.
