you mean private property or public place? public places are not clean in bangalore and it has become worse due to huge population and construction boom.. but bangalore and pune both are clean compared to other cities in India.
dude.. every city is cleaner than kolkata... its a city of pain and misery... the whole city is depressing to look at... except a few places here and there.

Private areas & corporate areas have to be clean but here I mean to say core Bangalore like whole Hosur,Koramangala or Indiranagar..Those places are pretty clean & has improved..Those are public areas.Most outsiders stay in these areas & me too.I don't know much about other public areas though but based on my past visit of few places the condition is not so good..
But Hyderabad city is dammm good,beautiful & very clean..

No that's a false assumption..Bangalore is pretty clean overall.Bangalore,Pune,Hyderabad,Mysore are among cleanest cities.You can say about other cities but above cities are pretty clean..I don't know if you had ever visited India or just throwing out of assumption...!.Few places there often feels like you are in some foreign streets....

It is a false assumption, The reason i mentioned those Indian cities is because i have visited them, Especially Bangalore over the years, So i reiterate except for maybe Chandigargh and certain parts of New Delhi rest of it is pretty dire

Now things may have improved recently but still Islamabad is way more organized and cleaner than any Indian city in my experience, Now Karachi similar to most of Indian cities or even worse, Never been to Lahore so cannot comment

The thing is standard that you're looking at is pretty low even for Sub Continental cities, Just because as you mentioned things have improved doesn't mean they are actually clean even to South Asian standards, Bangalore WAS one of the cleanest and greenest places in India not any more, Not been to Pune but have been to Hyderabad probably

I think i have a better perspective to compare since i have been to India and Pakistan, Maybe you need to visit places like Islamabad, Colombo and Timphu (Although have never been) to see the difference first hand, Let alone cities in more developed nations

bangalore has got worse.. or may be my sense of cleanliness has improved.... its still clean by Indian standard though.

It has indeed become more chaotic and dusty over the years with unhindered constructions

200 Chinese garbage-lifting machines to begin operations next week in Karachi

KARACHI:

In about a week’s time, 200 garbage-lifting machines among other equipment imported from China will be used for waste disposal, said Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) managing director Dr AD Sajnani.

He added that after arriving at Karachi port, 22 of the 200 garbage-lifting machines and garbage compactor trucks have been cleared. The remaining machinery will be cleared by next week, after which it will be deployed for maintaining cleanliness in the city.

The machinery had arrived in the start of January. However, it was lying at Karachi port for Customs formalities.

Chinese firm to lift garbage in District South

Sajnani added that apart from these 200 machines, 200 tricycle refuse vehicles, 1,300 handcarts, 5,000 dustbins of 240-litre capacity, several 280-litre steel dustbins, 3,200 dustbins of 260-litre capacity, showers to clean trees, mechanical sweepers and street-washing vehicles will also be cleared along with the other remaining trucks by the next week. After that, they will be able to start operating in South and East districts.

We are going to pay $24 per tonne to a Chinese company, Changyi Kangjie Sanitation Engineering Company, but it is also expected that the cost may be reduced in the future, added Sajnani. He said that they are building Garbage Transfer Stations in all of the districts. Talking about a recently constructed garbage transfer station near Mewa Shah Graveyard, Sajnani added that it is built in the premises of Gutter Bagheecha, which is owned by the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation. However, he said, a resident has filed a petition in the high court, laying claim to the land. He added that they are facing obstacles but these will soon be eliminated with coordinated efforts.

Responding to a question about garbage disposal in other districts of the city, Sajnani said that by the time the company starts operating in South and East districts, the SSWMB will take the initiative one step ahead by expanding it to all the districts of the city.

Privatising garbage collection – a panacea in urban development

On the other hand, Local Bodies Minister Jam Khan Shoro told The Express Tribune that it will just take a few more days when the citizens of Karachi will observe the city being cleaned through modern methods. Shoro added that they want the support of all the political forces in the city so that they can continue to serve the city.

The Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP)-led Sindh government had decided to outsource garbage collection in the city to the Chinese company soon after the formation of the SSWMB.

Judicial commission seeks reports on solid waste management

Meanwhile, a judicial commission headed by Justice Muhammad Iqbal Kalhoro had also asked the local government secretary to submit a plan to get rid of solid waste in the city. The commission had also issued notices to the local government secretary, the Karachi commissioner, the district council’s chief officer and all the deputy commissioners to file reports regarding management of solid waste.

Well you should go up North. I'm sure you'll see small, clean towns with serenity.

Towards central and South Pakistan...population increases significantly and hence massive cities along Indus River and its tributaries.

Pakistan needs a massive urban sanitation program. We need garbage recycling companies and proper upkeep of cities. Hopefully we will progress towards it. Somebody take this idea to private sector in Pakistan. Lots of money to be made

Turkey-Pakistan collaboration can help too in this regard.

But again, I'm sure Islamabad is pretty clean. Lahore is very decent as well bae few areas. Karachi is probably worse

Not much in Multan, it's hot and the Halwa is nice, a few nice mosques and the road trip is an adventure. There is this dhaba that makes an amazing cup of doodh Patti.



Sir Islamabad is much better than rest of Pakistan. Maybe not Karachi Company and sector H11/I sector but most of G and F sectors are clean and well planned.

According to a report issued on Friday, data was collected from 3,000 cities, for the survey. “Of the 3,000 cities in the WHO’s air quality database, the most polluted at the time of measurement was Onitsha, a fast-growing city in Nigeria,” stated the report.



“Peshawar was in second place, followed by Zabol in Iran.” Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan and Kabul ranked tenth and seventeenth positions, respectively, on the list. The data for the report was collected between 2011 and 2015.

“Around 98% of cities with over 100,000 inhabitants in low-and middle-income countries, including Pakistan, do not meet WHO air quality guidelines,” stated the report.

Well If you visit DHA or Bharia town you will witness a different Pakistan because these housing authorities provide you dust bins and regular facility of collecting rubbish from doors to doors on regular basis .even most villages in Pakistan are clean and provide great atmosphere

Its not fault of people in overcrowded cities when government dont give them proper place for dumping rubbish and no facility of collecting rubbish either

Westsern countries charge you for these services as every household pay for road taxes, council charges who provide you bins and collect rubbish weekly..who is ready to pay this amount in big cities of pakistan? so this comparison of west with pakistan dont make any sense
