The politics in Karachi is at a very "crucial" juncture at this point in time and sensible decisions made today will go a long way in shaping not just the political landscape but the future fate of MQM voters. I am getting this feeling that there is a silent admission and approval of a shift in Karachi politics by the people of Karachi, deep down inside they were all uneasy and feeling the brunt of AH actions as they unfolded time after time. I am optimistic and believe things change for the better and not for worse and with that token I am hoping this vacuum we are or we will foresee will be filled by either a totally "revamped MQM" or other political force having the capability to understand the complex structure and moving parts of the City of Karachi as well as the trust of the people of Karachi.

Whatever the outcome may be, I sincerely hope that will act as a catalyst to "unite" the seemingly discrete ethnic-political entities existing today to focus on not only the immediate problems facing the City but its impact on the whole Country, InshaAllah.

instead of giving any Solution they are confined to Criticize MQM and Cheer Leading Rangers only which wont going to keep them Appealing for longer and another Problem is they are trying Influential and Electable Formula in Karachi which is DEAD since 1970s as Karachiite are more comfortable with Grass Root level Politics and Institution Based Politics so Chances are still Bleak for them.

nonsense. at every crucial juncture pti has helped karachi. back when people were dying because of heat stroke pti wrote letter to sindh govt suggesting solutions, and their councillors set up billboards in clifton to advise how to protect yourself from heatstroke. when the water crisis began in karachi then too pti protested and wrote to sindh govt and kwsb suggesting measures how to improve and increase water supply. if you believe that karachiites are more comfortable with grass root level politics then larger political scenario should not bother them and so pti should become largest party of karachi because they are doing more work for karachi w/o being in govt than MQM is.....

Isnt Enough as all other Parties have used not only floor of the house but all other things they have for it. I remember Sector guys Brought K Electric Staff in many Areas with them to solve the issue after countless Complains of people gone unheard by K Electric. That is the reality here. MQM's Grass Root Level Infrastructure Enable them to reach places which other so called Electables and so called National Parties miss and whenever MQM is Challenged they Push their Opponents to Door to Door Campaign which is quite impossible for PTI or any other Opponents in Karachi other then JI to Handle in terms of their Capacity. Everyone knows who have been Most vocal where MQM MPA are Visiting Pumping Stations while PTI once are Issuing Statements like hand KWSB over to Rangers. If that is the best PTI got then they wont be able to Strengthen their Grip in Karachi.

guys nothing will happen to MQM. if the government and agencies wanted to catch MQM leadership and clean it they would have put their names on ECL not let them run from the country.

this is all a drama and will end soon and MQM will do "Jashan" and play "MAZLOOM" card.

however, after letters to Indian High commissioner & funding from India and request for NATO anyone supporting MQM is an equal GHADAR!
