Compare the logical and straight way of developments, the effectivity of design and even the focus on simplifying things, rather to make them more complitcated than necessary.
The state of LCA has nothing to do with budget or technological capabilities of us and by far not with politics at all, but with too big egos and extremely poor project planning and management on the industrial side. We don't have to look at France to understand that, because they are on a whole different level anyway, but even China and Pakistan had made their fighter developments with more sense then we did.
