No double standard, you were talking about T-shirts and jeans,it was an answer to that.
If something doesnt belong to a culture and has a negative effect in anyway for the population, banning is the only way to get rid of it,it might take a generation but examples show that it works.
When my country rose up from the ashes of the Ottoman Empire, all radical Islamic elements were banned, killed or jailed which is the main reason why my country is where it is now.
You should care about your culture and not interfere or try to impose your culture on others, its none of your business.

It is not ‘its culture’. It is not that ‘his country (he and all others like him)’. And believe me that a majority of us (young generation in KSA) are of completely different opinion and it will change.

@Sharif al-Hijaz, @Bubblegum Crisis, @Arabi

Is this a real Saudi? I have my doubts, but you may know better.

No matter it does not represent all the Saudis.

in religious term this ppl will be asked and judged what they did.. so you just showed us some ugly side if our leaders would want to change something good they could do it.. but the only thing leaders want to change is their status they want more..

many of this countries are wicked and they just consume and help those who do not need help (Lamborgini, VW, Mercedes, and so on)..

they did it in the past.. that are his concerns and your insults wont bring you anything..
Uyghers shall obey PRC's law, that's it. They can practice their religion, this is protected by the Constitutions. We say big no to Salafists.

. . .
Saudi is our friend, they know How we treat Uyghers. We Chinese respect the Muslim world, that's why have very good relationship with the Muslim world.

I think any ideology put religion beyond nationality is wrong, cause religion always serve the interests of certain people and countries. People have the freedom to choose his faith, it shall not be forced upon.

Perfectly ! The burqa simply does not exist in Arab Islam (True Islam of origin). It is a deviation - An invention - from the fundamentalists.

...
Yes from what I have heard the Koran calls for both men and women to 'cover and be modest.' but that's it, Seems the Koran does not explicitly say you have to cover yourself in this manner(Burka,Niqab etc).
Seems some scholars argue that it is a religious obligation, particularly the more conservative factions within the Muslim world. However, as with many other religious scriptures, the reference to dress is open to interpretation and has been shaped by centuries of cultures in different nations. So I don't believe its mandatory for women(just like KSA,Iran, Bahrain etc etc,) to wear the burqa, niqab or any other type of veil, it doesn't say anywherein the Koran that they should wear any if these type of veils. Just that women and men alike should dress modestly . So if some religious fundamentalists insist it's mandatory they should also wear it just like women to "cover up modestly". Lol. You can dress modestly without putting up these sort of dress. It should be up to the woman to choose.

Completely obvious to anyone with a functioning brain that this individual is a non-Saudi Arabian and non-Arab. Him saying that his ancestors were "Hindus" in one of his first posts in this thread should have been enough. In pre-Islamic Arabia people believed in ancient pre-Abrahamic (themselves Semitic) Semitic religions, Christianity (Arabian and Nestorian Christianity), Judaism and Hanifism (google Hanif). Like everywhere else in the Arab world. Not only that he has trolled Arabs earlier. All it takes for people is to take a look at his user history. Not that difficult.

Secondly the burqa is not worn anywhere in KSA or the Arab world. The most conservative dress that is worn is a niqab. Thirdly burqa has nothing to do with Arab Islamic or pre-Islamic culture. The word Burqa derives from the Farsi word Pardah/Pardeh.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purdah

Farsi people used to wear this in pre-Islamic times.

Nor is wearing Niqab mandated in KSA. Not even a headscarf is. However an abaya must be worn.

An example:

Filipino expats wearing an abaya but not a headscarf in KSA:

So much nonsense as usual on PDF.

A few of the traditional dresses in KSA (which has one of the biggest diversity of traditional clothing in the world along with Arabia and the Arab world as a whole)

In KSA basically (traditionally at least) each region and region within the region, city, village, tribe and clan had their own traditional clothing. That equals 100's of distinctive traditional clothing. Such diversity is seen in few places in the world. Let alone Arabia as a whole and the remaining Arab world.

Same story with traditional dances.

Some examples of ancient pre-Islamic Arabian queens (of various native religions) - some of them among the most famous queens in history:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zenobia

In fact along with ancient neighboring Egypt, Arabians can take pride in having the most ancient and most numerous queens in history.

Another one is Queen of Sheba.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_of_Sheba

There have been dozens of Arab queens as far back as 1000 BC.

An Arab women founded the first university in the world as well back in 859.

"The University of al-Qarawiyyin, also written Al Quaraouiyine or Al-Karaouine (Arabic: جامعة القرويين‎‎; Berber: ⵜⵉⵎⵣⴳⵉⴷⴰ ⵏ ⵍⵇⴰⵕⴰⵡⵉⵢⵢⵉⵏ; French: Université Al Quaraouiyine), is a university located in Fes, Morocco. It is the oldest existing, continually operating and the first degree awarding educational institution in the world according to UNESCO and Guinness World Records[5][6]

More recent Arab queens:

From modern-day KSA:

From modern-day KSA (a fellow Hijazi Hashemite)

Another Hijazi:

Those are our beautiful traditional dresses and world-famous ancient queens, excellent women personalities and modern-day queens.

Fourthly it is not the business of Saudi Arabians and Arabs what Uyghur's (not our people) do and don't do. There is not any focus about this in KSA or the Arab world.

Fifthly we (Saudi Arabians and Arabs) have very favorable views of our Chinese partners whom we have had millennia old trading ties and with whom we have the largest trade with today and our relations are booming on all fronts. China does not meddle in our internal affairs and neither are we. As long as I have been on PDF Arabs and Chinese never had a problem with each other so that should have been a giveaway as well. But I am not surprised that the moderation (unfortunately) tolerates false-flagging trolls who pretend to be Arabs here or nonsense threads related to KSA and the Arab world. The most recent example is some drunk/intoxicated Pakistani "journalist" nonsense article about King Salman giving 1.2 billion worth gifts to Trump!

As for the remaining trolls in this thread, they don't deserve a reply nor will I waste my precious time on them.

Save your time brother. Don't go to big lengths to educate ignorant foreigners (not aimed at anyone but in general) as their opinions are irrelevant. The educated people, including foreigners who know what they talk about, will know the essentials which is all that matters. Remember the greatness of our history (Arab world is the cradle of civilization and Arabia is the second oldest inhabited place on earth by humans), culture, influence etc. We do not have to prove anything to anyone or impress anyone especially not when all they have are moronic 25-20 year old nonsense laws (such as ban on women driving) that has nothing to do with our history, culture or even religion! Our country is moving towards the right direction as is the GCC and the wider Arab world which is very important. Time will do what it needs to do.

@WebMaster @waz @The Eagle kindly change that troll's and false-flaggers flag (he is not from Saudi Arabia) as people can still see his flags and they will think that he is from KSA even when permanently banned.

Yes, which is exactly why people in KSA, Arab world and across the entire Muslim world have their own interpretations of what is considered modest and necessary to wear. However Muslim women who choose to wear a Niqab are not "oppressed", "backward", "uneducated" or whatever nonsense we hear. Similarly non-Hijabi wearing Muslim women are not "sluts", "attention-seekers", "non-modest" etc. A bit of perspective would not hurt but that would be expecting too much of people who only view the world in either black or white.

He was indian false flag, now banned by MOD. Many Indians(be it their media, public or govt) have a habit of creating these kinds of propaganda to distract attention from Kashmir (IOK) and other issues.

Indian Media is the propagandist arm of their Hindu Extremist India govt., it is part of their tradition to post any atrocities happening on muslims around the world in a way to pyschologically condition them to give them a feel they are better treated which is also a joke. For an Indian Muslim, they feel there is a bomb blast everyday in Pakistan. I used to read Times Of India from their website from 2005-2007. Most of the news was some way a promotion and baseless as well when I got hold of Times Of India print copy, most oif the internet news was'nt in hard copy paper as there is an editorial board over it for verification. I stopped reading it altogether as well as rest indian media, still can't forget the islam-hate comments that used to be posted under the news relating to muslims or Pakistan. There was psy ops going on there.
Pakistani media like Dawn Group, Jang and Tribune are in bed with US interests which match with Indi a so they also post indian crap without any verification.

China is now a global player they need to have a marketing plan to provide information about themselves, or else they would be screwed by the psy ops mass propaganda campaigns of India and US. Not every person can travel to Kashgar or Urumqi to know about the issues. After that fake news of Xinjiang Ramadan ban was published many American agents who are Pakistanis were spreading this news as much as possible like the 3 stooges on Dawn news channel trying to mock and subvert Pak-China cooperation. Pakistani parliamentary members wrote a letter to Chinese embassy. This was major PR Fail for China after which Chinese embassy organize trip for the delegation to Xinjiang to look for themselves.
