While Islam during the days of Muhammad may be considered progressive and advance for its time, the world has greatly changed since then.

The problem is Muslims, particularly fundamentalists, see Islam is not only as a a set of a values but all encompassing into all other aspects of a follower's life. It dictates social life as well as morality as it is also a tax code, court system, dress code, finance system and etc which is why difficult to integrate with modern life.

Islam need to be reformed to be adapted to modern times because clinging to ideas and ancient rituals written for a time hundreds of years old is simply not practical and will lead to a society stuck backwards in that time instead of the present.

Islam is beautiful as it is. Yours or takfiris theories are not required. Kindly keep your nonsense to yourself.

In no way are the Uighurs re being persecuted instead they are being robbed of certain rights as Muslims. More cultural suppression than anything because the Uighurs are quite a distinct ethnic group compared to say the general Chinese population (Han Chinese).

No double standard,you were talking about T-shirts and jeans,it was an answer to that.
If something doesnt belong to a culture and has a negative effect in anyway for the population,banning is the only way to get rid of it,it might take a generation but examples show that it works.
When my country rose up from the ashes of the Ottoman Empire,all radical Islamic elements were banned,killed or jailed which is the main reason why my country is where it is now.
You should care about your culture and not interfere or try to impose your culture on others,its none of your business.

Safe in what sense? They are regularly mistreated by the Han Chinese. There have been restrictions placed on the practice of Islam.
