See, the issue with political idealism in the subcontinent is that we assume that figureheads like Modi or Imran Khan are to be the all and out without realizing that they are not "lobby-proof". The emotional public is all willing to create shrines and declare Modi Kalki Avtar or Imran Khan Mahdi..without realizing that these men have their own interests to serve which is to stay in power. To do this they have to bow to the whims of key allies and juggle around certain issues. So what guarantee can one take that with him as PM if such events are sparked by the allies of the BJP, it will not be forced to stand by and watch horrendous events happen so to ensure that the majority religion or votebank does not sway away?
