Muslim village head talks about Hindu ancestry

I can only say for myself: medium on some days, usually; rare on a very few days (dared not use the 'rare' in the context). Mostly medium; the way some westerners wanted 'rare' was a bit off-putting, actually. And only with a good wine, or parathas and beer if kababs.

Actually a strict connoisseur will take offence to the liberal use of the term rare and medium. You need to qualify them. Eg. Blue rare or just rare or medium rare etc.

I personally like it rare with 75% redness through to the centre !

India is a Hindu-extremist state that a Muslim has to say these things to survive.

It has Hindu extremist elements, but it is not a Hindu extremist state.

Bangladesh has Islamic extremist elements, so a secular blogger has to be careful, but it is not an Islamic extremist state.

Hmm. Need to understand that a little better. I don't eat beef within the country, because of the very poor quality, so don't really get to define precisely what I want.

well i would like to see indians go to israel and complain.

they too eat "halal".

the main reason for halal is it is less cruel to animals:

For meat to be halal, the animal should be killed with one clean sweep of the knife.

In both Muslim and Jewish religious slaughter, the act of slitting the throat stuns the animal, they say, and there is no delay between stun and subsequent death.

Israel eats Kosher meat which is where halaal started from for that matter islam started from.

That iron skillet made me drool. Not what was in it, but the skillet itself. A week ago, I got myself cast iron platters like the one in the middle, and a griddle for dosa. I was looking for a skillet but couldn't find one.

Now that I cook, I notice these things far more :pleasantry:
And when ones wife goes shopping, she finds things, she is NOT even looking for :cray:

TELL me about it. But my good lady isn't into cooking. Not at home, that is. Now I am told, to my amusement mixed with pique, that she did Bengali chutney, cabbage and things for dinner at my daughter's, where she is visiting.

Hmmmmph.

Holy Smoke! Amazon has the whole range, from 2100 to 6000! I am excited!

To be perfectly honest, jhatka meat has a peculiar smell/taste. Must be the blood getting cooked with the flesh.

I've never liked beef or mutton. Beef is just too meaty and the mutton I eat is usually stringy. I've stopped touching the stuff. The only meat I now eat is chicken. :)

I know what you mean. Mutton is goat in south Asia; never lamb. Unfortunately, chicken tastes 'clammy' to me. And we can't discuss pork!!

Down here in Kerala where I have working for last 2 months-no one cares. Of course there is an overdose of coconut, so we have beef ularthiyathu (with coconut and curry leaves). Nice with Porotta or rice.

My favourite is kappa biriyani- had an amazing meal yesterday for just 40 bucks..

Awesome combo-beef and tapioca..

Down in Bangalore, in my college internship days beef biriyani was a good choice.. Beef chunks were kinda big and hard to eat- but after a couple of drinks you did not care much..

. . . .
the highlighted part:

“The cow is our mother too. Killing the animal is haram in Islam”
Call it the psychological impact of the lynching of one of them, due to rumours about consuming and storing beef, Muslims living in the vicinity of Bishahra village, especially where they are in a minority, have become anxious and insecure.

absolutely insane!! poor muslims
It makes sense since they consider Hindus as their ancestor and not Arabs. Everything do not change with the change in religion.
