Can Pakistan and Bangladesh form an economic alliance?

Why not a economic alliance between Pakistan and Georgia? Because that is how much sense this makes. In case you don't know there was sort of alliance before 1971 but a war, million dead busted this idea. To begin with Pakistan's number one enemy India sits athwart the two countries. By sea the distance is over 2,500 miles.

These economic or political blocks first require some geographic basis to them for them to evolve. This is lacking in this instance. Bangla has future with India, Thailand etc

I'm afraid you have a completely incorrect picture, especially if this implies those are Pakistanis.

It would be correct to say that over 90% of Pakistanis hold Turkiye dear to their hearts, and feel an unspoken bond. Yes they did and some may still have a problem with the nature of Turkish secularism. But that style of secularism has changed, and problem with the nature of Turkish secularism never translated into a problem with Turkiye or Turkish people.

I think it is an important differentiation that should be understood with some clarity, I hope I have helped.

Our primary focus for now is integeration into the ChineseEconomy... and CPEC Phase2 is first step in that direction.

Eurasia is our second target, dovetailing the first one... logical!

We are restructuring our economic framework not that dissimilar to the PRC when it opened up.

Let us say that Pakistan is moving towards AgroIndustrial economy... with heavy cooperation with PRC SOEs and other companies.

Regarding BD... we are open for business.... but this idea of economic union is a non-starter as there is no basis for it... neither of the country is econmically/technologically developed enought to be of benefit to other... besides our BD friends are pro-India...at least in their ruling elites...

No, there isn't going to be any SouthAsian EconomicUnion.

What is already taking shape is that Pakistan is fully onboard with BRI and after PMIK's Russia visit we shall know more about Pakistan's intergeratoin into CAR economic zone.

In other words... our National Security Policy is that we will integerate with Eurasia and focus on becoming GeoEconomic Corridor for CA and to EU through Iran-Turkiye Corridor.

Europe was destroyed by conflicts in first half of 20th century. Almost all major europe based powers and ideologies were dying or dead.
And then a new power emerged in the east that was a common threat to all of them. "Communism".

The "Muslim" in Muslim union is too loosely defined. The GCC , The Africans , Turkey , Central Asian countries , Iran, Pakistan , Bangladesh, Far East Asia etc etc. Everyonr have its own problems , Alliances , Threats and Comparative Advantages.

And i dont see any common threat that can , In near future , Pose an existential threat to all these governments starting from Morocco reaching upto Bronai. Some of them are sworn enemies of each other.

Religious unity is the side we are most vulnerable to right now. If you try to build the union on this basis, it will soon be disrupted or neutralized. Look at the OIC.

The EU model is shown as an example in the thread. The EU is a union established for economic purposes first, and it has adopted the principle of protecting the interests of members, along with pursue modern legal norms over time. And if the world conjuncture allows, they trying to find a way of gaining a military qualification. For decades, steps have been taken to strengthen integration, step by step, in the appropriate order.

In other words, in order to refer to this model, it is necessary to act not on our religious motives, but on the principles that will become politically and economically independent in the world. When our common interests become stronger and interdependent, when our integration increases, when we build trust based on years, we can move on to the next stage. We cannot escape century old world order in one day. A grand strategy that will last for generations is needed.

The problem is now only in Middle East. Other Muslim regions are fine and cooperate with each other.

African ( Senegalese and others, Somalia is in internal conflict)
European ( Turkey, Bosnia, Kosovo)
Central Asian ( Kazaktan and other former USSR countries)- Afghanistan is getting normal now
South Asian (, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldive)

It is too small. We need to add a few more citadels to the West and East.

This is a need to time but the union should be named after something secular and should include China and Russia along with an observer for the strategic alliance.

You are looking for a cover story for the Union. Might give a few years relief.

Truth be told Pakistani idea of Muslim union is more often then not fed by historical or present day humiliation. It is sort of refuge from the worldly set backs they have recieved. To begin with Muslim is conflated with brown and desi - that is brown South Asian Muslim.

This Muslim tag carries a strong aversion and hatred of white people attendant to having been screwed over by Gora [White British] and often stronger mutation of this is found in Pakistani community in UK. Isolated into ghettos they see the amoral white majority as the kuffar and harami gora [bas*tard whites] because of rampant racism.

Bereft of any real pride in their own heritage they like orphaned children yearn for something to identify and garner pride. This is where 'Muslim' brand comes along. by latching on to this sterile concept they can rape the heritage of Turks, Kurds, Iranians, Afghans etc to salve that inferiorty complex.

No other Muslim community that actually has pride in it's owm heritage would ever join such a losers community call ed MU. The Turks really don't carry the complex of racism or historical slavery to whites, neither do the Iranians who often in fact have illusions of superiorty grounded in the glorious history of Persia.

Then you have Arabs. They can be broadly divided into three sub-groups. The North African Arabs who have a strong link with Mediteranean Europe or Africa. They are unique and would never fit into MU since their economy destiny is tied to Europe/Mediteranean.

The other Arab sub-group is Levantine Arabs of Lebnon, Syria, Jordan. They again are more Mediteranean and often have strong bias for French culture. This lot would pefer being with Greeks then South Asia brown desis.

Which leaves the sand Arabs pf Saudia, UAE, Oman. This lot would have made perfect 'desis' to join the MU with South Asian brownies. But they found oil and they dream of being Texans, Californians then poor Pakistanis who they look at as dark skinned servants - the Sand Arabs are in the process of reinventing their race by marrying on industrial scale with Syrian, Lebanese wifes or European brides to lighten their breed so placing them apart from the South Asia desi Miskeens.

So what is Muslim Union left with? Well the garbage of Muslim world. Inferiority ridden Pakistan with no heritage, Negro reverts with no culture of their own, failed Somali pirates, Muslims converts in slums of India who dream of being Muslim Turkic invaders.

That is about the only meaning of Muslim Union. Brown, kicked about by gora [white racism] , rootless Blacks and convert Muslim from lower order Hindus in South Asia.

This is why you get this Muslim fantasy being brought about with tedious frequency on forums such as PDF. It's just a refuge for brown boy victimhood. Strange thing is they hate the closest buddies the billion plus brown Hindus who they have so much in common.
