imagine a couple and a kid(family) on a long drive on a highway.
On the way a guy asks for a lift as he dsnt have money to travel to the next city ,after some distance he wants the A/C turned off as he dsnt like it.the family turnsoff the A/C then after sometime he wants the music turned off as he is getting a headache with the western music again the family does, and after some time he wants the car pulled over some time so that he can pray as its his prayer time again the family does that.

Now some can argue he ment no harm and the family should accomodate him and some will say he should be kicked out of the car.

But its for the person who took the lift to deside why he was there and he is the one who is asking for help and what he is doing is right or wrong.

Well logical and well manipulated. How can an Indian miss a single chance to jump up and speak against.FYI,an Aussie just called India a shit hole and I have just rated him negative. My bad,not do it next time.
Projected a simple event in very well manipulated way. Of course,a very good angle to again show ''muslims'' as threat...they will take over Australians one day because they haven't participated in singing anthem.Meanwhile,Indians will come here, get jobs, populate Australia, take off rights of resident Australian for they will be providing cheap labor...where as Australian would be busy fearing of few school kids for leaving school with permission of teacher. Meanwhile, spohisticated, civilized indians will breed speedily and establish more than a fraction of Australian populace.Their genes will mix up with Aussies and genes for fair complexion will become recessive and genetic drift would be observed. While Aussies getting hyped up over such issue, they won't realize that they have lost their genetic dominace and penotype upon which they are proud of,their rights and jobs due to Indian invasion and what not,but oh well..car and lift example only fits for poor school muslims.
Go on,act civilized,b/c at the end of the day they will still call India a shit hole;)
Just because few students went away with permission of school teacher, you manipulated with car and AC example.wow

The problem is not about religion, in Australia, general public sees two problem in this. People are not just blasting the children, but also the school too.

1.) The school - The school should not have allowed the Children to leave when they were going to sing the national anthem. The school have indirectly allow the National Anthem along with the Oath of Allegiance to be disrespected during the ceremony. That's one part of the problem.

2.) The Children - The other part of the problem is the children themselves, they should not have walk out. They should choose to stay, and instead sing the anthem, they would and should have remained and kept silence. That's the problem as most Australian sees it.
My friend,
I myself agree with you for what happened was not correct and students should not leave away. However,I am disturbed by the manipulation of such news.It can be easily controlled, damn it.All what is needed is to make a circulation, thats it.
Ofcourse, they should have stayed and sung, but manipulating it as anti-Australian and thankless people is not a good idea.

regards

well, the Op's news is actually blasting the school decision to allow the kids to leave, not directing the blame on the kids themselves nor Muslim...Let's recap the article

An Australian school has been criticised for allowing Muslim students to leave the assembly hall before the national anthem is sung, out of respect for Muharram.

I was furious when school officials invited students to leave during Advance Australia Fair,” Lorraine McCurdy, who has two grandchildren at Cranbourne Carlisle Primary School, said.

“Two children got up and said ‘welcome to our assembly’ with that a teacher came forward and said all those who feel it is against their culture may leave the room,” McCurdy said.

“With that, about 30 or 40 children got up and left the room. We sang the national anthem and they all came back in. I saw red, I’m Australian and I felt ‘you don’t walk out on my national anthem that’s showing respect to my country,” she added.

Independent Senator for Tasmania, Jacqui Lambie, also slammed the school which promotes the ethos of ‘Many Cultures, One Community.’

“I find that absolutely devastating, we should all be singing the Australian national anthem and we should be doing that with pride,” Senator Lambie said.

“That’s part of us. I find these schools that are allowing this to happen disgusting. I don’t think religion needs to be brought into the national anthem. We should all be proud to be Australians and proud to sing the national anthem,” she added.

Principal Cheryl Irving clarified that students were only allowed to walk out because of Muharram which is a month of mourning when children are able to opt out of singing or listening to the anthem.

“During the month of Muharram, Shias do not take part in joyous events, such as listening to music or singing, as it was a period of mourning. Muharram is a Shia cultural observation marking the death of Imam Hussain. This year it falls between Tuesday October 13 and Thursday November 12,” Principal Irving said.

“Prior to last week’s years 2-6 assembly, in respect of this religious observance, students were given the opportunity to leave the hall before music was played. The students then rejoined the assembly at the conclusion of the music,” the principal added.

The Australian Department of Education released a statement saying that they supported the school’s stance on this. “The Department supports our schools to be inclusive for all students, this includes understanding or respecting religious cultural observances.”

“From 2016, the new Victorian curriculum will include new subjects such as respectful relationships, world views and ethical understanding, helping to build more inclusive schools and communities,” the statement added.

Kuranda Seyit, secretary of the Islamic Council of Victoria, explained that these young students were not against the Australian national anthem. “I’m a Sunni Muslim myself but I understand Shia sensitivities and for them this is a very holy time. It’s a time when they are encouraged to reflect on the death of Imam Hussain and abstain from all forms of celebrations.”

“However for young children I think things like these should be assessed on their merits and a balance found. People need to remember that these Muslim children are not against the Australian national anthem but are not allowed to be deemed to be celebrating. Maybe there could be a bit more flexibility,” he added.

Well, the news is just news, it quite depending on how the user sees it, I looked at this news and I think the article is blasting the school on the decision of letting those student leave, not about Muslim or Religion. But then I got blasted with enough information so I have made up my mind.

I can tell you two things about this black alloy........

1.) He is not my friend, he is rude to everyone, he was once rude to me too, I forgot why.
2.) He is most likely not a true blue Aussie. He view is too extreme for normal laid back aussie type. And his post is laden with spelling and grammatical errors....

Don't forget I used to work intel. I had learnt how to read people a long time ago :)
