You must be prejudiced to the hilt if you keep on ignoring so many other factors.

I have seen moderate and playful Muslim lads turning into something else. There is a network which specifically targets the high-school and college going Muslims inside campuses, and then the freshers receive the peace sermons and become the part of the network. They start offering Namaz religiously and start talking about stuff which automatically isolates them from the mainstream because nobody wants to hear that BS. I have observed it closely because it happened to a few class-mates. I have seen bearded, scull-cap wearing people making contacts with the freshers and turning them.

This phenomenon is not restricted to any particular class or place. This is something else and this is quite scary.

Abdul Nacer Benbrika (48) had been receiving Welfare payments from Centrelink for over 19 years while at the same time plotting with other Muslim extremists to blow up the MCG on Grand Final Day in 2005 and kill and maim as many people as possible.

Benbrika ( aka Sheikh Abu Bakr ) was an illegal immigrant in Australia, having arrived in 1989. He was a self styled Muslim Cleric and enjoyed a degree of influence over the younger Muslim community in Melbourne.

During the intervening period he had been ordered by the Dept of Immigration to leave the Country on three separate occasions in 1990; 1994 and 1995 and to return to Algeria.

Despite these outstanding orders he was allowed to marry an Australian Muslim and then won an appeal to remain in Australia.

During the 19 period of Welfare support he had never worked for one day and fathered 7 children.

It is estimated that he has cost the Australian taxpayers in excess of $1Million in combined Welfare benefits.

After being apprehended and charged with plotting a terrorist attack on Australian soil Benbrika was quoted as saying “ There are 2 Laws : An Australian Law and an Islamic Law’

As a basis for Benbrika’s extremist views he quotes the Quran as promising its followers “ When a Jihad warrior dies – the 1st drop of his blood earns him complete forgiveness from Allah for all of his sins”.

On 16/09/2008, following an extensive 6 month trial hearing , Benbrika and his followers were convicted of plotting an act of terrorism on Australian soil and they were subsequently sentenced on 03/02/2009 :

• Ahmed Raad (25) 7.5 to 10

• Amer Haddada (29) 4.5 to 6

We must ask the obvious question : “ Have any of the bungling ( or complicit ) Government employees who contributed to this fiasco been dismissed and/or charged as a result of these events.?”

The areas of concern are Centrelink; ASIO and Dept of Immigration.

Why can’t we expect a degree of professionalism from our Government employees in enforcing our Welfare ; Security and Residency infrastructure. ?

By contrast we see the disgraceful and demeaning treatment of elderly Australian retirees who, despite having paid taxes all of their working lives, are subjected to the most invasive personal investigations in order to simply maintain a full or part pension benefit.

This requires them to present themselves before a Centrelink employee and provide full documentation including Bank Passbooks/ Bank Statements/ Schedules of any assets and any record of spending for personal or other reasons together with receipts and a full explanation.

First if Australia want to become part of those forces who are attacking Muslim countries and send there troops to attack Muslim countries than they should expect war will be brought in there countries too and those geniuses who think Australia should ban Muslims Mr 1000 people only in Sydney convert to Islam each year numbers in other cities are also quite high so try ban it

I am not living there yes many Muslims are and now thousands are converting to Islam in Australia

I dunno mate.. but a lot more are quitting Islam too.. only they are not very vocal about it..
I know a few Iranian's here who were Muslims before, but have stopped being Muslims now, though they have not announced it openly. I know of some Arabs who converted to Christianity.

They are really very few as compared to those who convert to Islam Mr whole world knows but point is Australia needs to stop messing with Muslim lands to please USA they are inviting trouble why not much problem is rising in New Zeland it also has quite number of Muslims

OK, if you say so mate. But I don't see it... I see evidence to the contrary..
Even in Malaysia I saw this trend of Muslims becoming atheists/Christians, but they don't publicize it openly due to fear of persecution. On the other hand, there is also a trend of Muslims getting more radicalized. Malaysian Muslims were known to be liberal minded, but that's no longer the case. The movement is happening to both extreme ends of the religious spectrum..

Mr I don't know why you can't see whole world can see it specially for past one and a half decade and but on topic Australia needs to keep its forces in its own country other wise this threat would increase not decrease

Australia will do whatever is in its national interest. Jihadist threats will be dealt with in appropriate manner and will not have major impact on how Australia deals its foreign affairs.
These kind of events are blessing in disguise, that it gives publicity to the potential threats this country and society is facing. There is more awareness in the public domain now regarding the Jihadi problem all over the world.

Yeah, I did meet a few here. Most are economic immigrants and not refugees. Majority of those I met were Iranian's, with whom I get along well and they get along well in this country too..

Yeah.. I do all of that pretty often. The Iranian friends I have here are pretty liberal and quite embarrassed of the antics of their coreligionists. Their women are very pretty and quite liberal too.. None of them wear the hijab or even the headscarf. I should admit that many of them are borderline atheists, though they don't acknowledge it publicly.
Some of the mid-east Muslims here are OK too, the guys are fine, but they force their women to cover-up. The worst are the Muslims from the Indian sub-continent. They try to be more Muslim and more Arab than the Arabs.
