A 15-year-old boy died on Thursday night in spite of doctors’ efforts to save his life after he was deliberately struck by a car in a collision that severed both of his legs.

According to Kansas City, Missouri’s WDAF-TV, the boy was exiting the Somali Center of Kansas City with a friend when a driver in his 30s rammed his car into them both. The driver reportedly targeted the boys because of their Muslim faith.

The attack took place on Thursday at around 5:30 p.m. as the boys were getting into a parked car.

“It became pretty clear that this was not an accidental crash, there is a considerable amount of evidence that leads us to believe it was intentional,” said Sergeant Bill Mahoney of the Kansas City Police Department.

The second boy was not seriously hurt in the impact, but the deceased 15-year-old’s legs were severed at the scene and he reportedly lost a tremendous amount of blood. Paramedics rushed him to Children’s Mercy Hospital where a surgical team labored in vain to save him.

The suspect reportedly rammed the boys and the second car, then tried to flee the scene, but his vehicle was too badly damaged. Police said that he then tried to run away, but was apprehended.

The boy’s family and other people involved with the Somali Center told WADF that the suspect has been threatening them for months, even waving a gun at some attendees and telling them he was going to kill them for being Muslim.

“A month or two ago he came to the Somali mall, two blocks from here. Things got bad, they started arguing and he pulled a gun,” said Abdul Mohamed, a man who knows the victim, to WDAF.

The victim’s name has not been revealed, but he was reportedly the son of the current head of the Somali Center.

The same way you guys generalise us as ... on american forums, websites etc ?
The question was allowance. Essentially, I asked who ever have the power to prevent the generalization of any body ? So generalize about US away. Make US the worst of the planet. And more importantly, convince people: Stop coming to the US. It is a civil rights hellhole, after all.

First of all I feel sorry for the poor guy. May his soul RIP!!
Secondly, we all know that the law will take its course and punish the perpetrator of crime. Thankfully like in some countries no one would jump to laws like blasphemy laws to avoid getting punished by simply blaming the one killed for insulting certain prophets or gods.

One more thing I fail to understand - if this guy was threatening the Somali group for long time why did they not report the matter to police. A simple 911 call at that time would have prevented things taking such an ugly turn..

No, we do not know any such thing. It's awfully naive to put things that way in light of recent evidence. If anything the last few weeks have shown, it's that courts in the US are rigged against certain classes of people (Blacks, Muslims) and in favor of others (Whites, the wealthy). The injustice against the victim has already begun: coverage of this crime has been minimal and limited to local outlets. If the religion of the victims were inversed - if the victim was a Christian and the perpetrator a politically-motivated Muslim - there's no doubt this would have made national headlines and presented as terrorism (this one crime, the one that did happened, with the Christian thug asnd the Muslim victims, hasn't). In this, the US - the West at large, I'd say - is no different from any other country in the world, where power imbalances between individuals and classes distorts the ability of institutions to pursue their stated commitment to equality.

They are hypocrites, Sir. Those who are not loyal to US should be banned from coming. Last thing i want is US becoming UK.

No that's not true. One or two bad incidents but in 99.99999℅ cases proper justice is served. Had the Somalians timely reported the incident , the guy would have been arrested as per law..

See now you are making the case for religion to be blamed. Well you can certainly do that but then you have to look at the numbers. One or two bad apples can be found anywhere that is normal but when masses turn radical which is true in case of muslims then you are certain it is religion. If you see madness of such a scale as muslims amongst followers of other religions then you can certainly blame the religion/religious teachings itself...
