Quite tragic news however its hard to pin point problem , Muslims in USA do enjoy tones of benefits , but the hate crime above could have happened to anyone considering how much hate is spewed in local Radios , if you happen to be a Muslim its sometimes not good to tune in to radio or cable TV

I observe the day to day handling of Muslims in USA and its generally very good in work and other places, which makes it hard to imagine how a nation so good to Muslims internally or thru foreign aid programs find itself in such avenues, infact Muslims are treated exceptionally well

However its not "uncommon" to find yourself signing stuff for employment that one shell not engage in email campaigns against Israel or boycotting Israel campaigns during employment and such and such

However the policies implied outside of USA help construct a negative persona for USA that US is in general anti Muslim, and its source is of course the "Media" radio talk shows or unregulated folks airing cable talk shows or churches or perhaps the man just was delusional

The free speech , slogan is used to defend that however same free speech does not works both ways

The above news is general hate crime

However the crime will be called a "Hate crime"

a) if this was a Muslims killing lets say a Christian dude it would be Terrorism charges or the boy's family would be investigated
b) Also local newspaper writers would try to connect the behavior to Islam and then CNN would run the front page article on American holiday to connect the issue to Islam

I have stopped reading US news / radio channels to reduce the impact of brain wash on myself

I see the good (Lot of it ) but I also see the ugly side (Due to media's focus on a perception)

Does the same happens in Muslims countries (Yes)

You are correct. I am a traitor to 'my kind'. I should be despised by everyone regardless of national origin. But that does not explain my confusion.

According to non-US citizens on this forum...

- The US is not and have never been a democracy. Despite having no laws banning any ideological bias, the US is dominated by the Republicans and the Democrats and both are controlled by the military-industrial-complex (MIC).

- The US media is controlled by the Joos. This is all that is needed to be said about this subject.

- The US technological base is essentially 'stolen' from other countries.

- The US social fabric is wracked with racial tensions with the justice system geared towards favoring whites.

- The US educational system makes every US citizen an intellectual laughing stock compares to his/her foreign peer.

- The US manufacturing sector is on the verge of collapse due to outsourcing by greedy capitalists.

Let me tell you I have family in multiple states over here and have spent time in most of these states and never felt like I was out of place. I have spent a few months in Texas as well and felt that the folks down there were kinder than most elsewhere. That is despite the bad reputation Texans get for being conservative as hell.

Muslims quite frankly do not have to deal with much discrimination here, even race plays little if any part. Does shit happen once in a while sure but like I said before it is mostly far from the norm, just compare it to treatment of Muslims in Europe and you will see the difference. In terms of color I would be considered brown but that has never hindered me in competition to whites in terms of work or anything.

A lot is made about racism in the US but I would tell Pakistanis not to buy into it, most of it comes from the moaning of blacks over every little thing here in the states but frankly the blacks cause their own problems because they make everything that goes wrong with them about their race.

Well sorta do agree that from what I generally see from Behavioral perspective , Muslims are treated well in USA , specially the ones that are educated and pay taxes and are of course model citizens. I generally do find many Muslims occupying special positions as CEOs , directors and even in Military to some extent , and from treatment perspective that is also true that Muslims are treated exceptionally well

USA does do one thing right and that is charting out laws and then implementations on these laws, and we wish we had Imran Khan in power in Pakistan so we could also have similar mentality in Pakistan about Rule of Law and true secularism

With that stated , however small problems do arise but I think that is due to the general mass media that constantly portrays a perception which emits from outside the states. And every holiday season and every weekend , the local population ins presented with images of Islam or Muslims that is quite negative.

However, the foreign policies that USA employs outside of its borders in relation to Muslims are quite different and these policies are driven by benefactors such as Corporations who appear to control the Government and Policy Makers, that is why while locally we see a good environment for Muslims in USA, however same questionable outside the states as those policies are written with Corporations and Military objectives in mind.

USA is a perfectly safe for Muslims , sure there are odd looks here and there or a weird comment but overall 100% safe country for Muslims not sure about France or UK or general Europe.

However the news was very tragic but one also has to look at positive news that some where out there there was a hospital that gave free medical service to Muslim child

If USA policies about Middle east or Muslims in that region more similar to how they treat Muslims locally in USA , I would say USA was the ideal place for all Muslims 100%

More "Justice" , safety and worker rights , free rights then in so called Middle East
