Well, strict islamic rules are followed in Afghanistan. Look at the situation/condition of women there.

As far as Afghanistan is concerned please ask the Head Mulla at the Deobandi Madrassa in India. Not my problem to explain. I know more Pakistani, European and American women who have opted for Hijab as a personal choice rather than any Taleban.

I as a Muslim know that well. I have posted a thread and many posts about Umar khalid who is in jail for the last one year. But the Deccan state of Karnataka where this girl lives is still not a place where the police and she is nothing of the progressive that Umar is. She is the Muslim version of those boys she confronted.

Karnataka was once part of the place where Tipu Sultan governed and he was a considerate and progressive man, a correspondent with the revolutionary Napolean. Tipu was nothing like this aggressive uneducated girl.

There are many rights that she should have stood up for. Many issues in India, the closest being the issue of suicides in her local community i.e. the students. Did she utter one word about that ? Is her burqa worth the suicides of her co-students ? She has the Nature-given right to speak up about that and so many other wrongs and disparities in Indian society. Did she utter one word ? Speaking up in favor of the burqa is one of the easiest things in India. Speaking up about the real issues takes courage. Does she have it ?
