Why do some need more rights than others.

Muslims don't get any additional rights. Instead, they are deprived of the basic rights that are guaranteed by the state.

Yes there are unfortunate incidents which happened in india but not just Muslims if you look at those cases deep down 99.5% cases are against the weak and poor of the society, that is the case with whole of sub continent.

Regarding the controversy, I am totally ok with girls coming to class with head scarf but not with burka. If they or someone else are so adamant on coming to educational institutions with burkha ,the govt already allows Muslims to run their own schools as per their religious beliefs ,they can join them,if you say they don't offer courses which will help the students to get better jobs ,then they should reform their courses and be upto date. No one is stopping them.

You do need to correct your misinformation. With reference to the Hijab issue in Karnataka, the girls were not wearing burqas in class. They were wearing burqa while commuting to/from the colleges. They would remove the burqa once inside the college and retain the hijab.

The girls should have said that in the video, instead I heard them say it's my right when the gates were closed on them.

Again burka is no no in educational institutions.
