Whether fauji or civilian, once a person gets addicted to the intoxication of power, it becomes very difficult to accept the reality and embrace a peaceful and reclusive life. He has a nice life, owns reasonable amount of assets and commands respect at the international scale but still he is fancying a more active role for himself in domestic politics but he is not prepared to face the trials and tribulations that accompany it. I think he is sincere and can play a positive role and Pakistan can benefit from his skills, experience and stature but it seems impossible if he is not ready to take the bull by the horn. One cannot simply sit abroad and dream of becoming the most popular leader in domestic politics of india and Pakistan except the dynastic families that capitalise on the legacy of the yester-years and skills of manipulation and deceit. Thus he needs to be in Pakistan else he should be content with his reasonably luxurious life and hope for the best.

I would like the opposite. IK doesn't seem like a man with a plan. Mushy would be an amazing PM for Pakistan and IK a great foreign minister since he already has a good image abroad.

IK's brand name abroad will bring more good as a PM, IMO. A PM doesn't need to micromanage everything. And I believe IK has some good social and economic plans.

Foreign Minister needs to be very sharp and well versed in IR intricacies. Mush has the stature and brains to pull that off.

Sorry, we don't buy you anymore, Musharraf! Only Imran Khan is a nationalistic leader who's not sold to other powers.

Chief, you won't find a more patriotic leader than Mush. Each and every single one of his decisions have been proven good for Pakistan. Please elaborate why you think Mush is a sell out?

Zardari, Nawaz, Falzu every single one of this lot is a sell out. Nawaz has business with India and KSA. He'd sell this nation in a second to earn another steel mill in India or KSA.
