Modern day Pak was never part of Hindustan .. It was always a clear majority muslim territory .. The "frontier provinces" of the British empire.
The muslims supported Muslim League .. than there was a segment lead by the likes of Maulana "Azad" who were against the creation of Pak and were pro india... but they never had any influence in modern day Pak.. That is why they couldn't win any seat from this region (despite support from congress).
We don't want Kashmir (kashmir along with other muslim majority areas was already destined to be a part of Pakistan according to the partition formula).
Even in 47 .. Ghulab singh used genocode to try to stop the struggling KAshmiris who wanted to merge with Pak .. The genocode is well documented by neutral sources but I doubt you will accept them.

Today there are more than 300 million Muslims in India out of 1.2 billion Indians . I have gear stories from my grandmother . She said when Hindus been chased out of Pakistan and Bangladesh in India the hindus stood for the muslims of South India . They lived with peace and harmony . It was hindus who wanted to save muslims and helped with their lively hood. Don't say back about Hindus . We are at most peaceful and friendly people in the face of the earth and fry patriotic too.

So Hindus never killed anyone.
See its not who killed how much ... Every one will stand to protect their kids and families. It won't make them a rogue but brave hearts. Same different between Terrorist's and Army .
