The honorable Governor not killed because of his non-Halal dietary habits
Then why do you malign his personal life? Simply because you have insufficient evidence? If he was not killed for the above mentioned reasons then better his followers not use the same argument again n again.
but a person named Qadri killed him in a fit of rage when he (Governor) replied him (Qadri) that blasphemy law is worse than human feces.
So its got nothing to do with his public statements? He said to him on his face? and what authority did it have to kill somebody? Was he declared murtid by any scholar who had authority to do so? No right?
In that case its simply a murder based on his personal vendetta / be it foolishness, stupidity or whatever you wanna call it. When the murderer is arrested he often claims that he didn't kill.. But in his case he had surrendered, so how do we even know that if he is saying truth or not? Who knows if he had to pay debt to him? just speculating... There would have an authority to investigate that matter right?
If yes then no evidence was found against Salman Taseer's blasphemy then why do people praise an assassin?
For your info all Gulf and most of the Muslims countries have similar laws even stricter then why only Pakistan is being criticize?
The problem is, he said The blasphemy law in Pakistan is "kala qanoon". People took his statement out of context and idiots like Qadri went ahead to kill him. When he said Kala Qanoon he used to give various examples and two of such examples have been given by me in the previous post. He claimed that people are making a political issue into religious issue, he is only talking about the law made by Zia Ul Haq's government and certain provisions need to be reviewed, we have got video evidences available on YouTube where he claims that he is not against the blasphemy law but how its implemented under the constitution and further goes on to give an example that out of thousands of people convinced under blasphemy law, 90% or so are killed inside the prison whilst their cases are pending in the court and went to reveal his idea that an ordinary officer should not be allowed to register a case against Blasphemy law and an SSP ranked officer should investigate the matter, if convinced only then register a case. Also the person who accused should also be clearly named in the FIR so the trend of fake cases should be discouraged...
It was all about politics but people turned into Religion simply because they heard him calling it "Kaala Qanoon". It is beyond my wisdom why people ignore his whole statement and just take 2 words out of context. It is like if I say arrest him, you will run away to arrest 4 billion men in the world as I just said arrest him and wouldn't spare a minute to ask whom to arrest or whom am I pointing my finger at.
I am out as there was a lot of weight to this discussion when the incident took place and the pro-Qadri scholars were heavily embarrased on the TV when they couldn't give any proof of allegations but there are many videos of him on YouTube with examples of how the law was abused and needs to be reviewed.
