Mumbai blasts suspect may be in Bangladesh

. . .
The way its going, that conclusion shall

not be far fetched.

Really?

I am afraid you will not have the dubious and deleterious pleasure you seek.

It is not only far fetched, it is light years away.

Dream on.

Jean-Paul Sartre had said It disturbs me no more to find men base, unjust, or selfish than to see apes mischievous, wolves savage, or the vulture ravenous.

Suspects duniya ke kisi bhi hise main ho sakte hain par Bharat main kabhi nahi ho sakte.

KOLKATA: Abdullah Khan alias Nata, one of the prime suspects in the Mumbai serial blasts is probably operating from Bangladesh, believe investigators who have been tracking his movement for past few months.

Intelligence officers believe Khurram Khaiyam, who also goes by the names of Abdullah and Nata, is now operating the IM module which is assigned to maintain liaison with Bangladesh-based Harkat Ul Jihad Al Islami (HuJI) and, in a joint venture, has recruited a few new cadres for their outfit. Abdullah is a resident of Beniapukur's 29 B Mafidul Islam Lane.

Investigators said even six months ago, he was stationed in Nepal and used to shuttle between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Police also have reasons to believe he has close links with the 'D' company, which has a prominent presence in Nepal.

But in the past few months, following some 'special operations' by Indian Intelligence agencies, he shifted base to Bangladesh and the place is close to the Indian border. Due to Abdullah's close links with HuJI, police also suspect HuJI activists might have executed the Mumbai blasts.

Investigators, however, not sure about the whereabouts of two suspected activists believed to have been recruited by Abdullah, who got charge of the module after arrest of Sadaquat.

On Saturday, this TOI correspondent found his brother Khurram Sakil with his family at the third floor flat of Abdullah's ancestral home in Beniapukur. "Since the 2002 USIS attack (in Kolkata), we have never seen him," said Sakil, who is now running his father's small building materials supply business. Police claim Abdullah called his family six months ago after his father's death, but the family denied it. But they were aware that their eldest son had turned into a most-wanted jihadi.

Khadim suspect sent to city: Nure Alam, one of the accused in Khadim boss abduction case, was handed over to the CID by Mumbai Police on Saturday. Alam had been arrested by the ATS (Anti Terrorism Squad), Mumbai, for being involved in a blast which in Maharashtra a month back.

He was also accused in the abduction of Khadim boss Partha Roy Burman, who went missing on July 25, 2001. Alam was brought to Kolkata under tight security arrangements, guarded by the ATS personnel. He will be produced in the court on Monday.

Lol what an article, basically mentioned all the suspects, Bangladesh, Pakistan, D-Company, Huji, IM. Ek toh sahi hoga hi.

if he is really in Bangladesh he will surely be caught.... Bangladesh elite force RAB is so good in intercepting terrorist network... They have exposed all the bomb blasts...arrested everyone from JMB to ULFA... Only good will of govt. is necessary.... But I don't think he is in Bangladesh. It is just our south asian tendency to blame others to hide failure......

The article is speculative. It mentions what the investigators think.

Terrorists could be hiding anywhere, right next to IB HQ too. They have in the past used BD and Nepal porous borders and there is no reason to believe its completely stopped now. However, that does not mean BD or Nepal govt is supporting or shielding these people. Current BD govt has indeed done well to get rid of some ISI and Dawood gang members from BD, but there could be more.

As someone said, its good if he's slipped out of the country and is in BD instead of Pakistan. BD often cooperates and we are thankful for it.

What next ? King of Bhutan is a terrorist?
What a pathetic intelligence network they have.:what:

What a pathetic mindset.

In the past Indian terrorists have taken refuge in Bhutan too, but Bhutan govt helped us kick them out. Does not mean Bhutan King is a terrorist.

Or are you saying that because he helped us kick out Ulfa and you hate him for it? We know you jamatis did support Ulfa and only after AL govt they have been kicked out of BD.

Lol what an article, basically mentioned all the suspects, Bangladesh, Pakistan, D-Company, Huji, IM. Ek toh sahi hoga hi.

IA flight was hickjacked by Pakistanis from Nepal, BD have caught D company men there, Nepal and BD porous borders have been used by terrorist networks for decades. IM and such groups have links with these groups. Whats surprising?

They missed the word may in the headline, when adrenaline runs high nothing more can be expected.

next mumbai terrorism will surely go to srilanka, then next mumbai blast will go to nepal, followed by bhutan then the cycle will again begin with pakistan :)

.
No where did it say that they are blaming Bangladesh, it just says that the guy maybe hiding in Bangladesh. And its not like terrorists have not been found in Bangladesh in the past.

.
Nobody from outside can simply come, plant bombs and go away without inner support. Attacks clearly shows that Indian security agencies has failed to wipe out this support. India should destroy the terrorist network on her soil first than point finger to other. Just like we are doing, we know that terrorists who are working in our soil have outside support but we are destroying their network in our country first.
