This movie tries to show the true face of Islam and prophet in a time the world is shocked by what the Takfiri and Wahhabi ideology led by some known states is doing and this is precious

You know what is more precious than what world thinks about Muslims? It is that we don't tear apart each other through sectarian violence. Sectarian hatred has torn apart our societies and such movies will only add fuel to fire and will provide a new propaganda instrument to those takfiris that you have mentioned.

No face is shown in this movie but a figure and his voice and as far as I know prophet was a human beings like the rest of prophets before him and showing a figure is not a big deal , regarding showing face , That's against what Shiism believes as well ( at least in Iran ) and you can not find a single picture showing prophet or his progeny's faces in religious ceremonies recently as its against the law .

As i said it is all right according to your perspective but Sunnis will be offended by an actor's voice and figure used for the Prophet (SAW). As i said it is all right according to your perspective but Sunnis will be offended by an actor's voice and figure used for the Prophet (SAW). You have to understand that any depiction of the Prophet's body or voice is haram in our faith. I understand that its your country and your film industry so you can create whatever you like or want to. I also understand that this must have been done with good intentions. But for the sake of Sunni-Shia unity i hope such movies are avoided as they are hurtful for a Sunni, in Sunni faith depiction of the Prophet (SAW) is haram including the favorable ones. I understand that Shia faith allows creating paintings of the Prophet (SAW) and Ahle Bait (R.A), but i remember during the Danish Magazine controversy Ahmedinejad asking Iranians to avoid such things for showing respect to their Sunni brethren.

Inshallah next time we will create a romantic comedy about two people falling in love and dancing because that's the only way to make use of cinema.

And i have seen many Sunnis who were calling the Charlie Hebdo cartoons as freedom of speech, but i am talking about the majority here and the majority thinks it is haram.

And a haram thing can not become halal even if the intention is good, again not talking about wrong or right, talking about what the majority of Sunnis feel and i can already see that some clerics are using this to instigate hatred, that is the last thing we need. I am not talking about just the wahabi clerics, even more moderate ones are issuing fatwas like the one issued by Indian clerics against the music director.

God gave us brains to use it. Otherwise God would have put the Quran straight into our brains and made us all act like robots.

The Holy books and the Prophets are the guidelines for humanity. They are not the instruction manual for a DVD player.

Film is a medium. Like all mediums, they can be used for good or bad. Past mediums have been the same way. Saying poetry can be Islamic or anti-islamic. Stories can be Islamic or anti-Islamic. Same it is with films. If they are presenting Islam in a positive manner, why should they be haram?

There is no images of Prophet Mohammad in this, but what if there was? Are we Muslims so stupid and brainless that we can't differentiate between an actor and the reality?

Very well said!!! Reading pieces like that from you and Daneshmand makes me proud and hopeful as an Iranian.

I've long argued with my religious friends that if god intended for us all to follow his 'instructions' in an absolutely identical manner to the last dash and dot, he would have given us something similar to a hive mind, so that there would be no way of deviating from his will. Instead he did the exact opposite thing! He gave each of us independent thought, a unique personality and freedom of will and consciousness.

Unfortunately, with Abrahamic religions in particular and their top-down view of the world, where god sends messengers with books and instructions, it becomes impossible to argue with the 'word' of god. And sooner or later that becomes a tool in the hand of every mollah and mufti to speak on the behalf of god and with his authority. And so absolutism takes the place of reason and certainty replaces doubt. And instead of free will, we exercise god's will. Instead of referring to our own conscience, we follow divine law. With his words, we justify the most heinous and inhumane actions. And the absolute nature of his laws give rise to an ever more complex and contradictory ecosystem of interpretations and circumstantial applications that leave us intellectually incoherent and disconnected from reality.

And the result becomes the Muslim world that you see today... morally bankrupt, intellectually backward and physically weak.

It's all the more reason to think and decide for yourself! Each must decide for him or herself. The rest is not your problem. Do not delegate your faculty of reason to mollahs or muftis who are as human and error-prone as anybody else.
