If Aurangzeb was driven by anti-hindu , anti-sikh and anti-shia sentiments, then why he fought Pashtuns for 11 years, who were hanafi muslims like him. The war against Pashtuns cost him his empire in the end, as before the uprising, Aurangzeb was mostly relying on Pashtun soldiers from north west against Marathas. Interestingly Aurangzeb was the first mughal emperor to heavily recruit pashtuns in mughal army and giving them place in mughal nobility, diler khan was his famous pashtun general. Yet his wrong decisions led to a general Afghan/pashtun uprising, in which he lost one army after another untill he himself had to come to hasan abdal to direct the war. Shivaji took advantage of Mughal's concentration focused on north west fronteir.
It seems he was a fauji-minded person, and like faujis , was not sharp and cunning enough to rule such large empire.

In deobandi wahabi madrassas like Akora Khattak, Jamia Binoria etc in Pakistan, one of the foremost fatawa works of the Hanafi Madhab that they use is

Fatawa e Alamgiri

Guess who was Alamgir? [ yes you guessed it right, Aurangzeb ]

I am aware of that. So what?. Like i said he is the first mughal emperor to heavily recruit pashtuns in army. Yet he tried to use heavy force on pashtun tribesmen, despite the fact that mughals were at fault (a mughal officer had raped a pashtun woman of safi tribe which led to uprising of safi and their cousins against mughals). Aurangzeb was a bad ruler, there is no justification for his use of excessive force against pashtun tribes, who could have been his backbone. Khushal khan khattak supported him in the war of succession against dara shikoh, but he put him in jail for 8 years. Khushal took his revenge for this insult on release

if a woman was raped, then the case goes to court for justice. It does not mean a jahil tribe rise up against the Ruler and the State and create anarchy.

Did Aurangzeb do any injustice to them?

hahaha....troll thread but some people trying to smart here without history knowledge!!!

Jahil hoga tou. Firstly Pashtun/Afghan tribes were independent and were not under rule and law of mughals. They were not paying taxes. River indus was the boundry. Except peshawer and kabul and the link road between these two cities, every other pashtun area was non-mughal territory.
Secondly Safi tribe demanded the culprit to be handed over to them for justice, but governor of kabul amin khan refused. Instead he sent some parties to safis, which were killed. Then led a large army, 40 thousands to punish safis and mohmands and other tribes, but his army was completely destroyed by afridis at tirah, he himself barely escaped.
Unlike your kind, we do not take rape of a lady lightly.

yet your TTP kind has been found raping and your kind joined the Sikhs against the Muslims when Ahmad Barelvi fought his last breaths in Balakot. your kind betrayed him

you don't give the reason for Amin Khan's refusal. Hazrat Aurangzeb was famous for justice according to Shariat. Ask any scholar in Akora Khattak. The murderous bastard safis killed Amin Khan's parties. They killed fellow Muslims and people innocent who were not involved with that alleged rape. Islam is not about anarchy. It is about law and order.

@Multani i dont know what kind of image you are carrying about mughals. Aurangzeb was a munafiq badbakht man who imprisoned his own father, killed his brothers, and sat on a throne which was not his in inheritance. His greed for power led to deaths of thousands of muslims in stupid war of sucession. He restricted his sons to harems of palaces like zanana, due to paranoia, devoiding them of grooming into strong men. He invaded yousafzai country and torched their villages and poisoned their wells. In order to compensate for his sins and blunders, he tried to be a pious person. Munafiq aur badbakht banda ta.
