What's new

MTCR benefit: India, Russia to develop 600-km range cruise missiles that can cover entire Pakistan

So u mean any thing else apart from brahmos is basically $hit...may it be harpoon or tomahawk or exocest or c 802...
Only brahmos can hit a ship...nothing else..
I am convinced

Exocet and harpoon are older weapons, not useless at all but much less effective.USA always gave less importance toi anti ship missiles due to its carrier oriented doctrine, even they are replacing harpoon with stealthy AGM-158.
Both british and french navy(original user and builder of exocet) are developing new generation Perseus stealthy supersonic/hypersonic sea skimmer as successor.Japan's new gen anti ship missile xasm-3 is also supersonic sea skimmer.I never said anything about brahmos, brahmos is one of the latest supersonic sea skimmers in service thats all.

interestingly americans are still going for stealthy subsonic...
AGM 158 and tomahawk

ever wondered why??

Range and doctrine.American naval operations are all centred around carrier battle groups and their escorts or subs.Smaller range missiles are of lesser use because carrier aircraft are meant to engage enemy naval aircraft 400-500 kms out of the actual CBG position.A long range missile can support carrier ops well.Because of their reliance on carriers americans have never bothered to develop with intensity anti ship missiles -that job is given to nuke subs and carriers in USN.Soviets lacking carriers follow opposite doctrine. No navy other than US can afford to centre their ops solely round expensive CBG or nuke subs. However USN still made an adjustment to give the sm-6 ballistic missile interceptor a secondary qanti-ship supersonic missile ability.
Even french who used exocet moved to perseus. As did japan.Same china.Russia follows soviet model and now uses sea skimmers of supersonic type on all its new ships/subs.

True... but US cannot discount possibilty of a combatant going against another one on one...

Let me put it this way.... if burke class goes one on one against delhi or kolkata class ( subsonic against super sonic cm) who would win??

.
In house solutions? Which in house solution are you even talking about.. You get everything on loan from China anyways..

When it comes to India, India is doing it because our industry both pvt and public are well capable to absorb cutting edge technologies and also for the offset clause it brings. Our defense industry is at least 10 times bigger comparing Pakistan.
From Super Mushak To Best vendor for LHC we don't need bash our achievements like the Indians because work speak itself first build your Tejas ,nirbhy, kali then bash your capabilities

So this thread is about a truly unique operation missile that other than US & Israel have no defense for. Yet you wish to speak about other products?. Your tactics for downplay and denial is admirable.

Tejas - Operational.
Nirbhay - In Development
Kali - In Development.

Also: India will never be super power. Period. Feel better.

If some body cant understand the context then its not my issue
And Tejas is still waiting for operational Clarence

In a straight contest supersonic will win generally provided it is sea skimmer. It also depends on number of anti ship and air defence missiles on the ship where burke is awesome. And also air defence ability of ship against hostile cruise missile.

Hmmm... but will fire its missiles well before other side given low range of lo lo flight of brahmos ... hi lo is unlikely to succeed against burke... any how... both ststems have their own advantages ...and own dis advantages as well

Do you think F35 is in operation or not? What does it mean to be in operation?

Just turn the key and start? No. Operation means the equipment and SOP's associated with it. Doing your own R&D is different and buying stuff is different.

As per sources F 35B is operational
https://www.f35.com/about/who-is-flying/yuma

Given India Track record Tejas is only on Discussion forums not in airforce squardons

Ok. Double standards again to your neighbors I see.

The first Tejas IAF unit, No. 45 Squadron IAF Flying Daggers was formed on 1 July 2016 with two aircraft. It was commissioned by Indian Defence Minister no less. Indian and Foreign media was present. Including times.

Do not confuse yourself with FOC and operation.
