All should arrested and face the trial. This is nonsense , I died , and
61 in its continuation.

My advice is for Karachi to install hundreds of CCTV cameras and have control centres to monitor them & rapid action forces for quick response in Uk we are known as the police state due to amount of CCTV in operation.

you have your opinion note that there has been hardly a case when general sahab's come in the picture to clearify some thing .. any how its beside the point ............ MQM has won it all , hard core critiques are recomending MQM for their stance against every thing , they were the first to condemn this talibanisation of Pakistan when most of the pakistanis were in denial mode ... they woke up very late when it started affecting their own lives. Unfortunatly this is how we learn "" Jutay ki zaban "" give it few more years sir Pakistanis dont have any option except MQM

What else they have done than only giving pathetic statements against Taliban. Whether they give statement against them or not. Doesn't change the fact their stance against taliban doesn't hold any importance.

give it few more years sir Pakistanis dont have any option except MQM

Well we have been ruled by those who had interests in west. Now if MQM comes in power than we would be ruled by those who live in the west.

You guys love to live illusions. Wonder how easy to fool common people in Pakistan.

Ya...MQM's Mayor Mustafa Kamal did that, installed CCTV cameras but the provincial and federal didnt support it for unknown reasons.

It was good step by MQM to show who is playing with karachi.

Karachi Streets Grow Calmer After 63 Gunned Down Over Two Nights of Riots - Bloomberg

Karachi shops and businesses began reopening as calm returned to the streets of Pakistan’s commercial capital after two nights of killings triggered by the shooting of a Muslim Shiite politician.

The death toll climbed to 63 overnight as protesters burned cars and shops and gunned people down as police and paramilitary troops sought to restore order, hospital officials said. The violence comes on top of floods across much of Pakistan that left more than 1,500 dead and millions stranded.

Karachi, a city of 18 million people, is home to the nation’s stock exchange and contributes more than 70 percent of Pakistan’s tax revenue, according to the local government. The shootings broke out after Raza Haider, a lawmaker with the city’s main party, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, was assassinated at a mosque on Aug. 2.

About a quarter of the city’s factories and markets opened today and some public transport services were restored, Abdul Majeed, president of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, said by telephone. Losses to the local economy today may amount to 7 billion rupees ($82 million) down from 10 billion rupees yesterday, he said. Several gas stations, schools and colleges have reopened.

Trading at the Karachi Stock Exchange will close at the normal time of 3:30 p.m. after ending an hour early yesterday, Haroon Askari, manager of operations, said by telephone. The benchmark Karachi stock exchange 100 index rose 0.9 percent to 10,478.17 at 11:14 a.m. local time after turnover was less than half this year’s average yesterday.

‘Trained Shooters’

Seventeen more bodies were brought to three major hospitals overnight. “Judging by the bullet wounds we’re seeing, these are trained shooters,” said Aftab Ahmed Channar, an official at the Civil Hospital in Karachi, who is a retired army captain. “They are using very few bullets and their aim is deadly.”

Interior Minister Rehman Malik accused a banned militant group, Sipah-e-Sahaba, of killing Haider as part of its campaign of violence against members of the minority Shiite sect, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan reported yesterday. Haider’s killing was the latest in a series of attacks in Karachi this year against Shiites, who comprise as much as 15 percent of Pakistan’s population.

Political and communal killings have escalated this year in Karachi, which is used as a hiding place by militants fleeing army attacks on the Taliban in the country’s northwest. Members of the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party, the MQM and the Awami National Party have died in multiple gun battles in the city since the start of the year.

The MQM goons will break the cameras. they dont want to be caught on them shooting others

How Rehman Malik come to the conclusion of branding it sectarian immediately after the murder?
What proofs does he have? while there was open war going on between (pro indian) ANP and MQM.
