MQM chief wants foreign investigation into Baldia factory fire!

.
The original natives of Karachi were Sindhi fishermen. The "baloch" there were "sindhi speaking baloch" and not the pure baloch. .

arent the original natives of karachi are african blacks who speak baluchi ?

. .
I lived there for a quite a while to call bs when someone tells me that there were no sindhis in karachi before 47. :omghaha:

Sindhis made up 60% of the Karachi population before 1947. They are now at 8%. They virtually gave up the Sindh capital for us and the Muhajirs have no interest in giving the poorer ethnic groups their rights while they are richer by 13000 ruppees to the punjabis who are second.

Migrants like me and many others owe their lives to the Sindhis who cleared homes for them so we wouldn't have to live in refugee tents and to Balochs and Pashtuns who organized lashkars to protect and defend migrants. The ethnic issue was not as prevalent then as it is now because of people like rockstar W11 and ilk.

We should learn something from India. 15% of their armed forces are Punjabi and Sikh. Less than 2% of their total population is Sikh or Punjabi. No one there complains about this. Ethnic bigotry has found a home in our country unfortunately.

I sure hope things improve. There is a lot of hatred displayed on this thread towards non migrants unfortunately. I think the failure of muhajir identity which is based on ethnic hatred for others are clear on this thread.

They are called Makrani. And no, they were economic migrants. The adjacent district of Karachi; Lasbela, Balochistan is also a Sindhi speaking region.

Have you graduated high school yet?
You are talking about the Sheedi people. Those are some supporters of the PPP. I hate the said party but even I am impressed by their loyalty to the bhuttos.

I think in the 30s or 40s. I think Lyari, their main slum in Karachi, was made quite early.

They are part of Oldest Settlement of Karachi. Lyari which is Slum now a days was Actually Considered as the Fishermen Village of Mai Kolachi so they were here way before any of us. In fact Mangho Pir shrine where they have their Sheedi Mela has been Going on for Centuries so they are Original Inhabitant of Karachi as their Cultural Site Proves that.

Sheedis are Sindhi. The Lyari Baloch are not called Sheedi. They are called Makrani for they came from Makran coast. All the original sites of Karachi have Sindhi names. It's not a mystery who lived there, lol.

PS: To put an end to the discussion which some retarded high school kid started, Raja Dahir used Karachi as his port. And I'm sure, he was a Sindhi. He got defeated by Muhammad Bin Qasim. Finally, Sindhi pirates were known as far as Socotra in Yemen, and Sindh has been well connected to Arabian Gulf because of Sea contact via Karachi.

ok, MQM should be paying all the bills for the investigation ---

If you consider Makli as Original Site of Karachi then its not in Karachi rather its in Thatta and the reason for many Sites in Karachi with Sindhi name is because Karachi was Settled by Sindhi Hindus in large number when Karachi turned into a City. Even their Population was not Indigenous rather they were ECONOMIC SETTLERS. So they were the once why many Sites in Karachi has Sindhi Old names while the oldest Settlement ever in Karachi are mostly related Makranis

Makrani Account is more Credible in Karachi because they have Oldest Population and also because their Century Old Profession had been Fishing which identify them as a group Most likely of being from Karachi. Another aspect of them are Sheedi Mela in Karachi its not Confined to Sindhi Sheedi but Makrani and their Counterpart from Gujarat India(Muzafargarh) also Participate in the Century old Cultural Festival so you can expect in Karachi Sheedi and Makrani are not considered different rather same group due to their Cultural Practices.

What makes you think Dabel was at Exactly same area where Karachi is located??Is there any Evidence of that because I havent found any Ancient Relics which Proves that and even we have to go many Miles away outside Karachi to find something Thousand Years old except Pir Mangho Tomb which is Makli Graveyard located in Thatta. Another thing is that Sindh was rather a Geographic Term for Arabs then a Cultural one and they use to call Lands east of River Indus as Indus Valley while Karachi is Located at west of River Indus.

It is Govt.'s responsibility to find the real Culprits not Private responsibility. JIT report is not Credible until its proven by Court.

Dahir was based in Sindh, and used Sindh's ports. He wasn't based in Balochistan. And no the hindus weren't economic settlers. You have to be really naive to believe that people wouldn't settle along the coast since the bcs. Southern sindh, where Karachi is based was always a sea-faring den. And about the names thing, lol don't base your views on assumptions. If Karachi was a Makrani dominated area, then the places wouldn't be named in Sindhi language. Use google maps, and see the names of Makrani villages; they are rather Iranic. Secondly, the term "makran" specify the southern coastal region of Balochistan, which was called "maka" by the Persians etc. Karachi was never a part of Makran coast; it was a part of lower indus valley. And lastly, Karachi can't be a baloch city because even south-eastern balochistan is sindhi(lasi) dominated.

As for Raja Dahir, he definitely used Karachi port for the rest of Sindhi coast is uninhabitable due to the mangrooves and swamps. Karachi was a coastal fishing village when the angraiz came. And Arabs made fine distinction between Sindh and the rest of South Asia. South Asia was called "Hind" by them, but they were quite familiar with "sind". As I said, Sind was a major den of piracy and a part of Arab possessions before the Jamot and Baloch took over. There was a fairly regular trade/human contact between the Arabs and Sindhis. The people of Socotra, Yemen are said to be of Sindhi and Arabic descent.

And man, if mqm logic is followed then it can be said that there were no australian aborigines in Sydney before the Brit settlers, hence Sydney doesn't belong to Aboriginals. Lol.

There is no Evidence that Dahir's area Dabel was same as Karachi and as for Sindhi Names of Karachi Areas it was because Hindu Sindhis who Started Settling in Karachi from other Parts of Sindh when Karachi started to emerge as a sea Port named those Areas in Karachi as they were most Influential in Karachi Administration among all other Natives. Southern Sindh had a History but not Necessarily Karachi because even for Arabs the Sindh was East of Indus River and Whatever West of Indus River was part of Persian Territory or Persian Influenced.

It doesnt mean that Makrani people can only be from Makran District of Baluchistan they also were Scattered Baluch Speaking group throughout Coastal areas of Baluchistan, Sindh and Iran even because they were only ones among all sheedis who were Fishermen mostly and in Karachi their Pir Mangho tomb is PROOF of their Existence in Karachi for centuries while I have yet to find any century old Existence of Sindhi people in Karachi.

He may have used Sindh Coast and even Gujrat Coast but still no Evidence have been found that proves Karachi as a Population Center under his Territory. During his Period Karachi must be nothing but Mangrove Forest which could be used as a hideout for Pirates in the region instead of Settlement on itself. The Hind or Sindh was Considered all the lands east of River Indus not West of River Indus and FYI Karachi is Located on the west of River Indus so that goes your Theory of Sind or Hind even your Yemen Example doesnt have an Evidence Available anywhere its just making things up and nothing else.

And man, if mqm logic is followed then it can be said that there were no australian aborigines in Sydney before the Brit settlers, hence Sydney doesn't belong to Aboriginals. Lol.
What makes you think MQM DENY Sindhi and their Existence in Karachi????Sindhis have Proved again and again that they are HOPELESS towards their Future by Electing PPP again and again and again so that doesnt mean that People of Karachi should also SUFFER the same Fate that Sindhis have decided for themselves. Karachiite are contributing to Pakistan Economy and they want Pakistan to Contribute and Pakistan's Contribution goes directly to Zardari's Corruption.

So there was this person whose limb was amputated due to cancer, after the surgery someone asked him what do you want us to do with it? he responded it's not "mine" anymore, it's not good for me do I care you burn it or feed it to dogs.

Get the hint my friend?

The real conspiracy is to make Karachi & Hyderabad an Independent state. Looks like MQM is deliberately forcing Urdu Speakers to rebel. Unfortunately it doesn't help when most of the Police are brought from Interior Sindh and Punjab and are given free hand to harass citizens of Karachi.

MQM can easily be defeated in a free and fair election but double standards set by PPP and establishment is making things worse for people of Karachi.

You beat me to it.

How about inviting Scotland Yard for investigation? :pop:
