KABUL (Pajhwok): Senate Chairman Fazl Hadi Muslimyar on Sunday lashed out at the government for its silence over Russia’s interference in Afghanistan’s internal matters.

Muslimyar expressed concern over growing relations between Taliban and Russia and said: “The Afghan government’s silence in this regard is disappointing and Kabul’s friendly countries should play their role in this regard.”

He said helping the enemy of Afghanistan and maintaining diplomatic relations with them was in fact enmity against the people of Afghanistan.

He demanded the government stop Russian meddling in Afghanistan’s internal affairs and not allow Moscow to organize conferences on Afghanistan without informing Kabul.

Earlier, Russia’s special envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov had said Moscow was developing links with Taliban on matters of mutual interest such as fighting against Daesh.

Kabulov’s statement irked Mesharano Jirga members who asked the Afghan government to immediately halt Moscow’s meddling in Afghanistan’s internal matters.

Lawmaker Jumma Din Gayanwal said: “Russia has close coordination with Taliban and if the government does not halt these links, Afghanistan will become another Syria or Iraq.”

He claimed some of Afghan elders had cooperated with Russia in developing links with Taliban who had agreed to cooperate with Russia. He claimed Russia had provided sophisticated weapons to Taliban.

Abdul Katif Nuhzatyar, another member of Mesharano Jirga, said: “Russia wants to convert Afghanistan into a battlefield and they should refrain from repeating the past mistakes.”

The Russian envoy had announced Moscow was organizing a four-nation conference on Afghanistan next month. Russia, Afghanistan, China and Pakistan would participate in the talks.

. . .
Russia and Iran are stakeholders like it or not. Mullah Mansoor was killed because of his contacts with Russia through Iran. Those US boot lickers in afghan govt should be worried about it. That is what you get when you give up your dignity for personal gains. sooner or later Hisb e Islami and Taliban will be in govt with other pashtun groups and it means Northern Alliance will be out on the streets. You will see another civil war in Afghanistan when US will exit Afghanistan. Most probably in that last civil war Abdullah Abdullah and Dostam will get killed in clashes with Afghan Army.......Yeah the same Army they used against Pakistan, But Afghan Army will transform after peace treaty with Taliban. Hisb e Islami already cleaning up pro indian ministers.

. . .
Russia have been supporting Talibans, the day US set foot on Afghanistan

It is common sense, that Russia will cooperate with Afghan Talibs to counter Daesh, which btw was deliberately brought into Afghanistan to destabilize Central Asia (indirectly Russia), China's western regions, Iran and Pakistan's western regions from where CPEC would pass. As a bonus , Daesh was supposed to be a check on Afghan Taliban. Its no surprise that TTP elements dislodged from NWA after Pak Army operation crossed border and joined Daesh. Russia is also consulting Pakistan and China on the issue.
Afghan govt has isolated itself by towing the US line of fighting all militant syndicates, which it can't do in a 1000 years.

But what else can the NUG do but tow the US line; she is after all dependent upon them for not just services but her existence.
