It gets off topic so Ill end it with this, the division of India has its roots not in any two nation theory or with Iqbal- but rather the very introduction of religion into politics via the Congress and Gandhi’s dramatic(intentional or unintentional) uses of his faith in the quest for freedom.
Had that movement been solely based upon ethnicity and common culture- not only would partition been more organized and effective, it would have kept extremism in the subcontinent in check for eons.
