Well,from what i've seen ,the plan was to keep Moldova on an European road while our economy got better which it's doing...3,5% rise last year (biggest by far in the EU) up until sometime around 2020 when we calculate that we could have absorbed the shock of a Union.
The problem with all of this,as we see today,is russian imperialism.Time is running out for our brothers.Despite all of the accusations we don't really need that land,no rich mineral resources.It's just a historical correction which needs to be rectified.
I would personally survive on bread and water if that's what it takes for reunification,don't know how many of my countrymen would do.
Between 2007-2013, Romania was only able to absorb 5.7 out of 19 billion Euros in funding.
Romania could get the money to absorb Moldova if the politicians would sort themselves out.
Shame to see a country divided in two unnecessarily.
