Mods/Webmaster not being helpful. Violations on forums by mods and users

Even before azadi march threads are unreplied.

Considering more than half of you use @mods.. which does jack.. dont expect much. Also, reported threads go to a queue. With the Azadi march and every other person with glass egos reporting their perceived insult to their political party we have had rather pointless reports pile up.

Is it not possible to use @MOD or @mods to alert the available moderators? mods is probably an unused nick.

Do you go case by case bases? The thread in the ghq are being viewed, multiple times, but no reply.

And i don't use mods. I just use whichever mod I saw last active. Being chak, jungi, web, rarely fulcrum and i don't know most others

But yeah I hear you. I've been reported a lot, by the same people who're using abusive and threatening language. Oh the irony.

Also it's suggestion forum and as proof given in op, webmaster should considdr english only rule in threads unless there are special threads. Like cay becsi one.

Also whats senior mod? Whats international mod? what's just mod? One can instant ban or other only kssue warning?

Nope, it has ZERO effect in contacting us. Tagging us directly by names is one way but the best is to use the reporting system and write your complaint there.

Is it possible to create a singe tag for moderators? That would really help

At this point there are over 140 ACTIVE reports, and three active mods. Mods do not rapid fire reports otherwise there is no difference between us and other piecemeal forums. Each report is looked at on a case by case basis. This means looking at the repute of the reporting member, the reported member.. and then history of the conversation.

If the reporting member is also been engaging in flaming/trolling/cursing etc.. the report is either disregarded or both members get warned.

If the reported member has a good repute and the one reporting is a serial offender, then the report is discarded.

and so on.

If we wished, we can simply hand out warnings at every post or just make 3 second judgement calls.

I know, in the current setup. But is it possible to link the commonly used mods to all moderators? Or the ones for the forum? That would be more useful as posters prefer to ping mods instead of you guys!

That is what I meant, and tag being the commonly used one - mods.

I understand but I'm talking about GHQ section. Or do you do GHQ section as well?

Man forget this. Delete this thread, bye

The GHQ section is for a complaint against the actions of a member of the admin team. Outside of it, any insult to a mod leads to a direct ban.

Sounds like a horn and halo effect to me .

It is, there has been enough time spent here to know exactly what certain members reputation is.
A person with 24 warnings is not exactly someone whose testimony is to be considered serious.

Why does his testimony matters? All you need to do is to look at the reported post itself.

Edit:
I guess that would be very cumbersome, given the total reported posts.

It does if the reported post does not seem to be in violation of any rules as such. False reporting is common;people reporting just on the basis of difference of opinion.

Why? Wont the demerits of the reported post be enough to make a judgement on the report ? Its like saying that a hooker cant be raped or a convicted felon cant report a crime. Shouldnt the crime in itself be absolute irrespective of who is reporting it. Because reporting is not testimony, but just information.
