CETC YLC-18 High Mobility Medium Range Low Altitude 3D Radar

This is a two-vehicle convoy, high mobility, medium-range, low-altitude 3D radar announced by CETC in June 2007 at Singapore.

The reported system features are excellent low-altitude performance with high measurement accuracy, strong ECCM capability.

Specifications:
Operating frequency: EF-band
Coverage: (Pd = 80%, RCS = 2m2)
Range: ≥ 250km
Height: ≥ 12,000m
Elevation: 0º ~ 35º
Azimuth: 0º ~ 360º

Its detection range suggest instantaneous PRF of 600pps thus operational PRF of approx 400 is suspected.

Measurement accuracy: (rms)
Azimuth: ≤ 0.3º
Range: ≤ 100m
Height: ≤ 600m (within 200km)
Assembly/disassembly: 20mins/4 persons
MTBCF: ≥ 1,000 hrs
MTTR: ≤ 30 mins

In view of its 3D capability and potential to control aircraft and surface-to-air weapons, its likely frequency cover is shown, which is within the ITU regulated bands.
brother what will be the use of it actually i dont know anything about Radars plus Brother what are 10 low level radars ? i hope they place something (other than US , European) on Pakistan Afghanistan border to avoid Abottabad type raid n have some ears on Iran border as well .

so many new goodies
every year goodies get added so those who thinks good economy is must at this point to fight a war are wrong n weak hearted

@Bilal Khan (Quwa) I don't think anyone has noticed this yet but there are two distinct range extension kits.

The first called REK here as shown as a purchase (for a large sum that is probably a typo as @khanasifm pointed out). The second is called IREK. I am assuming this is short for indigenous or improved REK.

I was talking to an AWC engineer about REK and on something I said, they said "oh you must be talking about the Chinese REK. There are two." I think we've bought a large number of LS-6 kits and a local design has been developed in parallel. What if the cost listed is not a typo and that's what the Chinese are selling them for. That would certainly be a motivation to develop the kit in-house.

EDIT: Evidence for why there are two distinct REK:

EDIT: The I is for ingenious for sure. Confirmed it.
Whts LEP star package for f7

First design cycle, it has to go through another 3 cycles. So, if the first one took 18-24 months, then we're basically looking at a few more years before we see anything tangible. I also wonder if there's a technology demonstrator in the mix, that'd put actual prototyping off by a few more years. This is an issue for the 2030s for sure.
Sir big fan of u . please shed some light on 5 YLC 18A radars n 10 low level radars or when u are free write a Quwa Premium Excerpt .

LEP Star Package = Life Extension Program Structural Augmentation Road Map

or in simple words they are using the same term which was used for the program initiated to increase F-16 air frame service life from 6000 hr to 8000 hr ....

@HRK @Bilal Khan (Quwa) @Oscar @Dazzler

If the document states P and not PG then I guess the last F 7 P and OCU sqdns are supposed to stay a little longer. Then where are the thunders going (mirages?).

Kornet price seems excessive or typo.

Then we have PAF shorad (which one)?

The low level radars in report. Are they different than the YLC ones stated in report?

What is APU? Auxillary power during stationary running to power turret.

About the 6th aircraft. What about ZDKs? Is that possible that the three aircraft received now make the Saab quantity up to six with one of them converted as listed in report.

Overall some progress made.

What about the previous developments announced by MODP?

Advanced MLRS etc etc

What if it's 52 Kornet EM for $62M?
Just saying. After all we were also looking to replace out dated RR and B-Shikan mounted jeeps in our inventory.

So we have 10 AWACS? 4 ZDK and 6 ERIEYE?
Yes!

You keep forgetting this:

Those are 2 Russian Kornets.
This prototype was shown with dual ATGM launcher equipped with Konkurs ATGM.
Last time I heard that Pakistan army is neither interested in Viper nor in Hamza 6X6.
Let's assume, Even if Kornet-E are purchased for Viper IFV, the price still do not adds up.

If i remember correctly former ACM Sohail Aman in one of interview or in an address during his last days in office clarified that F-7 were not going retired from PAF after getting replace by JF-17
Then we have PAF shorad (which one)?
as per previous reports some SHORAD were imported from China
The low level radars in report. Are they different than the YLC ones stated in report?
As per my understanding those are mention under service budget which mean its not a new system but incremental purchase of already operational Radar
What is APU? Auxillary power
yaap .....

yaap 6 SAAB + 4 ZDK

any particular reason ....?? there are no reports about the trial of these systems

Modp link not working
working fine at my end : http://modp.gov.pk/pubDetails.aspx

no mention in this report which might mean it was still under development at the time of preparation of this report

An MLRS type system of mixed use nature has already been tested. However, more work is needed prior to publicly acknowledged test.
