Gow Hatya (cow slaughter) is against Dharma and hence against Hindu faith and against Dharmic value system. Hindus are required to defend cows and protect them. Its an article of faith for Hindus.

Nepali and Gurkhas being Hindus do not eat beef (cow). They do slaughter a lot of buffaloes though.

Also fact of the matter is beef is not a popular meat through out SE Asia. People still retain the respect to their old Hindu roots and are very sparing eaters of beef or abstainers.

So called pseudo secular comes up with argument that some Hindus eat beef. A country where the minorities are given so much respect and right and all those BS which is not available to Hindus but when it comes to respecting the feeling of Hindus, they will argue all the nonsense to refute it . Bull and other forms of meat is not disallowed, though it is not encouraged either. Hindus are not required to take up arms to prevent their slaughter.

However either way, the dilution of Dharmic value system will not bode well for the citizens of this nation. We are slowly wiping out what makes us special and unique and valuable and irreplaceable in this world. All because we want to imitate the west/middle east and THEIR value system. You might want to think about that.
