Justice Suresh terms the campaign of Gujarat’s development as “fiction” in the book.

Justice Hosbet Suresh, former Judge of Bombay High Court Monday said that CM Narendra Modi was the main conspirator of the 2002 Gujarat riots and was not a suitable candidate as Prime Minister of India.

Justice Suresh, one of the members of Concerned Citizens’ Tribunal that probed into the 2002 Gujarat riots and prepared a report, was speaking at the launch of a book in the city. Justice Suresh added that it would be dangerous for the country to have Modi as PM. Turning down the clean chit given to Modi by a magisterial court, Justice Suresh also said that there were many evidences against Modi and the issue was still to be adjudicated by the High Court and Supreme Court. “Supreme Court has not given him a clean chit,” he said.

Justice Suresh, who was in the city for the release of Sachchai Gujarat Ki, written by professor of an arts college in Ahmedabad, Hemantkumar Shah. The author terms the campaign of Gujarat’s development as “fiction” in the book. Justice Suresh said that as a member of the Concerned Citizens’ Tribunal, he — along with former Supreme Court judges V Krishna Iyer and P B Sawant — had toured Gujarat extensively for 15 days after 2002 riots. Justice Iyer, who chaired the tribunal, has given testimonials to Modi.

“Modi was the main conspirator of Gujarat riots,” Justice Suresh said.

“What happened in Best Bakery case? All the accused were acquitted by the trial court. But the same case got transferred to Maharashtra and the accused got convicted,” Justice Suresh said. “He is like Hitler. What happened after Hitler came to power? World War broke out. I do not rule out the possibility of (something) similar if he becomes the PM.”

Referring to the conviction of Maya Kodnani in the 2002 Naroda Patiya massacre and Modi’s complicity in the riots, he said, “Whose person is Kodnani? Modi’s.”

Kochi, Dec 19: Justice VR Krishna Iyer, retired Supreme Court judge, on Wednesday said at a book launch function in Kochi that he wanted to see Narendra Modi as India's prime minister.

One of the oldest judges in the country, Krishna Iyer has previously served as home minister in the comminist party-led government in Kerala. He had contested and won as an independent candidate.

"What impressed me about Modi is that he is not a corrupt leader", Iyer said. "Gujarat has set an example to the whole country with the successfully implemented solar project and liquor-ban", he added.

VR Krishna Iyer released a biography of Modi, written by journalist Murali Parappuram, at the function. "It is very important for the nation to have Modi as its prime minister. He is very capable", Iyer said.

Had hoti hai butt licking ki, this is sick  How can one say 12 year old kid (that was the age of rahul at that time) have any link in riots.

BTW, as per law one can not give punishment to whole family even if its a crime committed by a member of family.

And by that logic RSS family killed Mahatma Gandhi

A magistrate court in Ahmedabad pronounced its order on Thursday on Zakia Jafri's petition against the closure report of Special Investigation Team which gave a clean chit to Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and 58 others in connection with the 2002 communal riots case.

Jafri, whose husband and former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri was among 69 people killed in the Gulbarg Society massacre during the 2002 post-Godhra riots, contends that Modi and others should be tried for their role in the conspiracy which facilitated the state-wide violence.

February 28, 2002: Gulbarg Society, a cluster of 29 bungalows and 10 apartment buildings housing upper middle class families — mostly belonging to the Muslim community, was attacked by a mob, which breached the boundary wall and started torching houses. By evening, 69 people, including former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri, were charred to death.

June 8, 2006: Zakia Jafri, wife of Ehsan Jafri, submits a complaint, alleging the police had not registered FIRs against Narendra Modi and 62 others including several ministers and top officials of the state administration. However, the police refused to lodge the complaint.

The court constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by former CBI director Dr RK Raghavan to probe the cases afresh.

March, 2009: The SC asks SIT to look into Zakia’s complaint over the role of chief minister Narendra Modi and others.

September 2009: SC lifts stay on trial of most important cases, including the Gulbarg Society case.

March 27, 2010: SIT summoned Modi. He was grilled for several hours.(no cm never faced this ever)

May 14, 2010: SIT submits its report to the apex court, saying there was no evidence to substantiate the allegations.

March 11, 2011: SC asks the SIT to look into the doubts raised by amicus curiae Raju Ramchandran.

June 18, 2011: Ramchandran visited Ahmedabad and met material witnesses and others to prepare his report on SIT’s report.

July 25, 2011: Ramchandran submitted his report, in which he differed from SIT’s conclusion and submitted that chief minister Modi can be prosecuted based on the available evidence.

July 28, 2011: SC decided to keep the report confidential and declined to allow access to the Gujarat government and SIT.

September 12, 2011: SC directs the magisterial court to decide whether Modi and others can be probed after SIT’s final report.

February 8, 2012: The SIT submits its summary report before a magisterial court in Ahmedabad.

February 9, 2012: Zakia Jafri and Teesta Setalvad move court seeking access to the report. SIT objected allowing access to the report till the entire set of documents is submitted.

I squarely hold Congress responsible. According to every ''secular'' person and jholiwala, there is truckloads of evidence against Modi, yet the congress govt at the center has not put him behind bars. Obviously congress is protecting a murderer of Muslims so blatantly, any Muslim who votes for congress has blood on his hands too.
