Kargil happened under his very nose and there are records by your beloved Mushy that ganju was aware of it. It's not as unilateral as you claim.
Modi actually had little to no say in the firing. In the beginning Modi did this -

The responsibility went to the folks taking the flak. As long as there's no trouble, BSF or the Armed Forces in general will find little incentive to do something reckless now. We have a lot to lose - economy being the most important.

Well sir I never said who is superior or who's inferior and it's not at all right to have this colonial mindset.
I don't know why it sounds like a superiority complex when i say that both countries don't stand on same footings anymore which was not the case as though India had the numerical advantage,it was Pakistan who enjoyed the love from foreign powers ... even during the 1971 war U.S. sent it's largest aircraft carrier and even requested Iran to Jordan to send in their planes to help you guys, China vetoed the application for Bangladesh's membership in U.N. in 1972 and only the Soviets stood by us.
