MOD to HAL: Build Tejas Mk.2 With Export In Mind

. .
@ shaktiman ...China got Engines W10 AND W15A (but still in developing stage),no confirmation about engines at J 20.

. . . .
JF-17 uses Russian Klimov RD-93 turbofan engine, and as of now without any export customer. :)

Don't say like that, Pakistan has bought it.......

I think they planned to buy 250 or 300 of them ? can any one clear this doubt...?

And i think there are about 16 of them in service with PAF...

.
You don't have the right to sell it. Almost all the components are foreign, and from different suppliers at that.

Not right, as long as their is no clause which says that parts we bought can only be used for domestic purpose and not for resale.
Also understand that similar to LCA all countries which sell defence equipment's have parts from mutiple countries. E.g. Gripen.

The number has to be more, maybe around 24-28

No aircraft can be fully indigenous at this time, what's the use of reinventing wheels if you already have MRF retailer around the corner?
Keeping the R&D costs in mind and the development time it takes, going for foreign vendors for some critical components doesn't hurts.

Infact that is LCA's X-factor,Indian system blended with American engine and Israeli avionics(not completely),any day they will pick it over ur planes.

.
To The Chinease poster.

Who suggested Foreign parts in Tejas so cant export overseas.

Gripen from Sweden uses American Engine and French brits/USA weapons.

Thunder is being pushed wit Russian Engine..

You argument is rubbish

PS cant see TEJAS MK2 being exported for the record

Ever heard of a little plane called as Grippen? Lot of exports I hear!
:azn:

Also, support this claim (bolded) or be labelled as a troll.

Engine and a few avionics are imported. The rest (even that does not make it a majority, mind you!) are sourced. Understand the difference.

Sometimes, it is economical to get parts from others and not produce them in house. India can get these parts and so we do. China can't and so it has to make them. Do not twist things to support your viewpoint.

You're just assembling them. Nothing different than the Indian sweatshops making jeans and textiles from fabric made by a machine in China. You'll have to get permission from every single seller, due to LCA's diversity of suppliers. And once you sell it, haha, who will buy? They'll pick JF-17 over it for the price of the LCA, pumped up of course by India's several imported parts.

No one had picked Jf-17 even while there is no other competitor in it's market. What serves them the interest to even give JF any attention when LCA will hit the export market with better avionics and Radar. ?

Reality is no one else wants to buy Jf-17 other than PAF, even china doesn't want it. :hang2:
