Organizations accused of using charity for political purposes

The agencies in the United Kingdom have started probing into misuse of funds by Pakistani charity organizations for political purposes, SAMAA TV reported on Sunday.

Sources said that the UK’s National Charity Commission (NCC) and National Crime Agency (NCA) have launched a probe against the charity foundations of Pakistan.

The investigation is being done to ascertain if these organizations misused charity for political purposes in Pakistan.

Both agencies launched the investigation after receiving several complaints.

Sources said that the complainants have also provided evidence to both agencies.

The evidence include the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) against PTI in foreign funding case, a report by the Financial Times which revealed the party’s foreign funding sources, and details of its bank accounts.

By the UK standards misuse is only when the laundered money is not invested in the UK.
If they found it invested in the UK the criminals will enjoy the status of 'MIAN SAANP' and the 'Bori Bhai' dynasties.

I think the story in the reputed FT will have a big impact. IK will never sue them.

NAB did give a big dossier to NCA, but it was thrown in the bin. According to their records, the flats were bought for 1.2 million pounds in the early 90s, which were worth 3.6 crore rupees then. The turnover that year alone for the ittefaq group was 4 billion rupees. hardly a case of asset beyond means or money laundering..
Even the notorious Panama bench could not dig out any misappropriation and fraud and disqualified the former PM on a silly issue.

Bhai Altaf Hussain is a different issue, he nearly escaped conviction by a whisker. The Govt can always appeal the verdict to a higher court.
The Judiciary in the UK is among the top five in the world. I personally have been a JURY on a couple of occasions. The establishment has very little say here unless they have the judge's videos. :D

Partial and out of context - An old trick by a member of 'General Nani' media cell.

By the way, I couldn't have the ability to recognize the 'font style' - Is it CALIBRI?
