Well, it's not you but the British who integrated those states and formed an artificial nation called India. Before the arrival of British empire, a South Indian wouldn't even know the difference between a Pujabi and a Bihari!

As for North East, clearly it doesn't belong to India. Political integration is not everything, we still see those racist attacks against the North Easterners by the mainland Indians.

Moreover, when a country (read India) needs the help of outsiders (read Bangladesh) to control a part (read North East) of its territory, be it the insurgencies or the transit, it explicitly proves that "the part" is bound to be a separate entity.

Unless the North East is granted independence, those insurgencies will remain an inextricable issue of this region.

Tell you what. If I happen to work in NE, I shall also might be treated to racial treatments just cos I am different.
The problems India face will get solved in a while.. NE are getting integrated only in the past decade..

Eliminating separatist/terrorist camps inside Bangladesh aren't actually a favor, you shouldn't have them in the first place. And those you are calling "Anti-BD Jamat" are the most patriotic & nationalistic Bangladeshis as per most Bangladeshi members here. However, it was an act of a few criminals & fraudsters trying to make good use of Bangladeshi money-laundering & hawala networks to transfer ill-gotten wealth to foreign countries, and investigations have already started against them, next two years will be interesting in Bengal.

I heard, Shillong is quite a cosmopolitan city with many from the Mainland India working there, also DRAY has mentioned somewhere that many West Bengalis have been working in North East, yet we never heard of any racist attacks against the Mainland Indians.

This is true, there are mixed feelings of Bangladeshis towards India.

I will say, I was very much anti India. But after joining PDF my views towards India changes much positive because of jamaati anti BD view. But you will find most of BD internet warriors are anti India.

I have learned much of jamaatis from this forum. They are anti BD but pro East pakistan. That literally makes them loyal towards this land but dangerous for BD. The problem is they are fighting a lost war. And their religion based politics is the main concern.

As extra terrestrial mentioned the points we did much for India. And the business opportunities created for Indians.

India should learn to give back. They cant achieve anything here with unstable condition. The present gov suffered much for Indian policies. It seems like to get anything from India, military power is the option as the China did 1962.

As far the NE is concerned. To develop NE you will always need BD help.

Lol maybe 10 or 20 were accidentally killed but majority were Muslim. not to mention the fact that the tribe that did the massacre are Hindu themselves.

Before NE, CHT needs to get freedom from Bangladeshi occupiers. The original inhabitants of CHT the chakmas must get freedom. India should start an armed insurgency there.

This is because integration efforts have been lacking so far. We Bengalis don't mix well socially with Chakmas because of our conservative outlook. But still I think tolerance for Pahari Burma border people in Bangladesh is higher than in India IMHO. WE should increase our tolerance level and let Chakmas, Marmas and Tenchangiyas (among others) integrate into the mainstream.

Actually Chakmas are the most advanced community in BD. Well ahead of Bengalees. They have Generals, ambassadors, doctors, engineers, civil servants, police officers and others.Being the largest tribal group and being concentrated in Rangamati,they usurp much of the quota and extra resources/benefits allotted to CHT.
