MiG Still Hopes for Indian MiG-35 Order

If you have to have replace something with Mig-35 then Mig-29 is near choice even though Mig-35 is bigger than 29.
Besides Mig-35 wont add anything apart from Super Sukois and FGFA. Ideal choice would be buy some more Mig-29Ks for IAF so they can be used as backup for IN too
Why so ? Mig35 would be the best replacement for Mig21s role . Mig35 can escort other aircrafts including Super Sukhois where heavy payloads can be mounted and can be majorly used for strike role . Su30s are elephants on radar . FGFA would take long time and that too would be multi role . Then we can buy Naval Mig35 with AESA and 3D TVC .

Mig-21 was an interceptor with very low maintenance cost, Mig-35 has one of the highest maintenance cost of all the competitors.

MiG-35 would come at 40 to 45 million dollars price range. If the Russians provide full and complete ToT, i mean everything!! then we should go got it and ditch this rafale nonsense! That fighter is insanely expensive and not needed for a country like india! 20 billion dollars!! my god! We have f()ckin roads full of potholes(almost fell down the other day on my bike), and we have thousands of metric tonnes of rotting grains in the open because the government cant fund grain silos! and we are going for rafale as if we are a first world country.

Our neighbour is still inducting crappy fighters, and dont even have money to induct anything else. MiG-35s will be more than enough for them. And China's last headache is India. They have much bigger fish to fry on their eastern borders! Even then their Junk series potency remains to be seen.

Mig35 price is between $30- $35 million

30 to 35 is too low. 45 will be max though. it wont cost more than that. it might come to 35 million if it undergoes mass production. who knows.

Not only the fighter.. even the weapons rafale fires is ridiculously expensive!! Ditch this shyt!

For me, Mig-35 look like an upgraded mig-29 with AESA radar, I believe that Russian named it mig-35 for just marketing purpose.

What are you talking about???

1.) We already got access to Russias BEST tech with the FGFA deal.

2.) India is among the highest spenders on infrastructure... Money is not the problem, your local administration is. Each ministry got its own budget, attacking others for the incompetency and failures of one is not gonna help anyone.

.
FGFA is FGFA.. you cant make a MiG-35 with FGFA's knowhow. Actually we cant even make FGFA with FGFA's know how. but that's another story.

It is certainly not enough! For a population the size of India it is certainly not enough. Our democracy breeds incompetancy. We cant correct that. Only way is to increase spending.

.
In some, but LCA has it's advantages too

- RCS
- avionics
- unit and maintenance costs
- future potential

But most importantly it offers more advantages for our industry, while the Mig is als clearly less capable than the Rafale or the MKI, so no point in considering it. The Russians are desperate since nobody wants the Migs anymore, so they keep trying and we keep rejecting it as simple as it is.

I thought Chinese wanted it and booked / about to book 100 of them? nvm that was SU-35

.
HAL should ditch tejas development and start assembling mig 35 kits :D

Not really, even the Mig 29Ks cost us around $47 million system price and they only have Zhuk ME radar, no TVC, no newly developed airframe (IF that will be developed at all), new optronics...
Realistically it should cost around $60 millions + the custom western and Indian parts, will have high operational costs and India will mainly be responsible to fund all future upgrades, the perfect chance for Russia to milk us!

No, that was the Su 35. The Chinese don't need the Mig, since they have the even better J10 and will upgraded it most likely with AESA radar and similar material / coating upgrades. In fact not even Russian forces want the Mig, but might go for a small batch, to keep Mikoyan working.
