Russia & CIS Defense Policy Blog Jet fighter supplies for India’s Admiral Gorshkov to be completed this year
Russia will supply to India Mi-29k fighters for the aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov before the end of this year, Mikhail Pogosyan, general director of the companies Sukhoi and MiG, told a press conference at the Farnborough International Airshow 2010.
The main supplies should be completed this year, he said.
A total of 16 planes are to be supplied to India under the contract. Six of the planes have already been supplied.
The planes are being transferred to India in strict compliance with the timeframe envisioned by the contract, Pogosyan said.
