MiG-21 crashes near Halwara, pilot safe

It would be interesting to know the variant of mig 21 that crashed. I believe currently were only operating Bis and Bison upgrades of mig 21. We know that expect for bisons rest of the mig 21s will be removed from services by next 2 years however mig 21 bisons will be operational till 2025.

I think they can be used in Kamikaze missions

If you operate aircrafts from the 1960's this is what will happen. Atleast the pilot is safe.

India needs to modernize the airforce ASAP.

Not true about Jaguars more than half of them are not that old were produced in 80's and 90's by HAL. They will be upgraded to Darin 3 standards along with new engines and will continue in services till at least 2025.
