MFN is fine but Pak won't budge on Kashmir

So guys will no problem winning the UN vote then will you.

No problem at all. The problem lies with Pakistan. It has to give back Pak occupied Kashmir so that India can administer the referendum as per what was agreed with UN. Secondly the Kashmiri pandits displaced due to terrorist activities (sponsored and supported by Pakistan) should be brought back. In a sense, the referendum is pro India anyway given by the large participation of civilians in domestic elections for state.

The same goes for you......."Focus on trade, earn money, make your family happy. Forget Kashmir, live and let live"
That is what I am doing. ;) I have forgotten the part of Kashmir that India does not control. If India develops the large landmass it has, it has more than sufficient land to satisfy the needs of billions.

how very very sad , today the PPP government has earned it's right to be terminated and then exterminated.

All major businesses in Pakistan are owned and run by the political families.
Thus trade with India will be owned and governed by the same families.
Therefore we can not entrust these families to be Anti India.

Today India has purchased her victory and regional hegemony.

This is exactly somebody here argued that negotiations and trade are always better done from position of strength and not otherwise.

Pakistan has close to one third of Kashmir , India has a bigger portion under its control .... China has Aksai chin ... so whats the problem , all three countries take good care of Kashmiri populace and all should be happy .... Status quo is the right way to go ... move on, there are better things to worry about !!

No country can get entire kashmir for its own through military options ever .... period !!!

Please add Patriotism too.

PPP has been and still is a party of cowards and traitors.

I doubt the military had any say; they are giving democracy a chance (letting them have all the rope they need to hang themselves).

As for the civilians, yes, it's one big feudal 'charlie foxtrot'. It's a combination of American sellout, arm-twisting and general cluelessness.

Apparently it was the millitary that had been holding out in giving of the MFN. You Minister says as much...

Pakistani Information Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said his country’s powerful military, which effectively dictates policy toward India, had agreed to Wednesday’s decision. The Foreign Ministry also welcomed it.
Pakistan normalizes trade relations with India - The Washington Post

It really doesnt seem logical that everyone's a sellout, more like reality kicking in.

pakistan has a lot more to gain by trading with india,no indian ll say no to pakistani products and all.Pakistan has lot of good quality products indian can buy.Apart from food like rice, wheat, vegetables we can buy cotton, cement, fruits and many such stuff. It is stupid to starve someone else because of a rich man's pride.

Dont recall a mass freedom movement in azad kashmir that has been going for decades with thousands killed.......we have no problem its you that has the problem.

It has to give back Pak occupied Kashmir so that India can administer the referendum as per what was agreed with UN.

No problem.......just as long you guys go public that if pakistan moves its forces out of Azad kashmir you will in hold a UN vote in all of kashmir.

Secondly the Kashmiri pandits displaced due to terrorist activities (sponsored and supported by Pakistan) should be brought back. In a sense, the referendum is pro India anyway given by the large participation of civilians in domestic elections for state.

I have no problem with kashmiri pandits returning to there homes as long as the hundreds of thousand of muslim kashmiris that where terrorized by the indian forces who are refugees in pakistan are also allowed to return.

The only problem is that you indians do have the nerve to ask for a vote in kashmir.......for all your bravado you know as well as i do that you will lose the vote.
