I doubt the military had any say; they are giving democracy a chance (letting them have all the rope they need to hang themselves).

You might be right.......in 10 years all your excuses on kashmir would have been exhausted and then you will be have no choice but to give the kashmiris the vote the UN-Nehru promised.

The more powerful you become more choices you will have. And you are talking about 10 years from now. MFN or no MFN, Kashmir is and will remain integral part of India, and Indians will make sure of that.

Pak going back on MFN status to India?

Islamabad: A day after according the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to India, the Government of Pakistan on Thursday issued several confusing statements which made no direct mention of the significant step it had taken to give a boost to bilateral trade.

As per reports, the Pakistan government has withdrawn claims that it plans to accord the MFN status to India from its official website.

I agree with you. The decision on MFN by Pakistan was made under the duress of your dwindling economy. On ground, it won't yield much. Partnerships/trade are conducted from positions of strengths and not from weaknesses

Kashmir has a democratically elected state government and is verified from the world media that the elections in Kashmir are free and fair. With voter turnout of over 80% you are still living in a dream. Kashmir is in love with the idea of Pakistan and no two ways about it but they would love to live in India rather than becoming a part of what Pakistan is today.

They are mostly engeeneared goods like-shaving blades, auto parts,faucets , drill bits ,welding equipment ,fastners ,fan belts ,water pumps& hardware stuff ,and in agro like - pan leaves , spices ect .
