I think we cannot go with the Muslim world. They are not trust worthy. It is not to say that I am against Muslims. I am not pro Israel, but pro India. There is always a danger of Muslim world drawing parallels between Palestine and Kashmir. We should not be seen overtly supporting Palestine.

The past 40 years of Iran using Arab suicide bombers and rockets being lunched from Gaza and Lebanon at Israeli citizens made you believe that "Persia" is still a country of knowledge and civilization? No.

This is an Islamic Republic of Iran, filled with people who are taught hatred from the day they are born and have no value for human life.
I believe that Persia and Israel are natural allies but if they come close to achieving Nuclear capability under this murderous messianic government then Iran will be destroyed. If they threaten Israel's existence with more than their Arab lackeys, they will be destroyed.

Iranians hate their Government. 2/3 want a secular nation. 75% would put Iran first than Islam. Should they be punished too?

It's about our own interests and at this time leaving both Israel and Iran is not what we should be looking at.Balancing this is the job of diplomats....let them do their work.I had enough of this brainstorming for today :sleepy:

Don't Indians have a closer history with Iran than with Jews. To be honest, Although most Arabs and jews may hate it, Jews modern day realitives are Arabs and the same applies to Arabic speaking population in the Middle east. Both are semities and Have J1 Halo-gene. Killing and fuc**** up the middle east is one thing, dragging others into your fight is another. A jew cannot be racist to an arab, neither can an Arab be racist to a jew. Both are of the same common ethnicity.

Isreal is our technological partner and Iran is our historical partner. World knows that history comes true everytime. India should give isreal rest and embrace Iran. A daring country with strong will power. Isreal is a pet. I have lived in Iran for 5 yrs. I belong to a sikh family and some family members have settled there for 100 yrs. Its an amazing country. People are proud of their history and want to build a strong future. My respect for Iran.

Nadir Shah's Invasion of India was an important foreign invasion of India in 1738-39. Emperor Nadir Shah, the Shah of Iran (1736–47) and founder of the Afsharid dynasty, invaded India with a fifty-five thousand strong army, eventually attacking Delhi in March 1739 where he sacked the city, after issuing orders for a general massacre to take place.[1] His army had defeated the Mughal emperor Muhammad Shah at the battle at Karnal and had taken over control of northern India.[2] His brutal and bloody actions gave rise to the word nadirshahi, meaning holocaust.

I do not understand how you value this "close historical bond" with a nation that gave you your own Indian holocaust...

We need to boost our trade exponentially with Iran and middle east. As I said the Isreal is a tech partner and great frnd. But can it provide oil at a good deal. No it cant. Can it be a good place to sell indian products like cars. Maybe but Iran is big and more imp in future. Isreal can provide us tech, but lets be honest India is now almost at par with Isreal in defence equipment and will be ahead in nxt 5 yrs. Isreal has helped us develop our defence sector in last 10 yrs but market size of Iran is much bigger. World is not only defence.

India needs iran for energy and Israel for technology... Israeli friends should support India Iran relations as it helps to make India stronger and a stronger India is big plus for Israel as India is one of good friends with Israel.

So overall India which is a big supporter of Israel, needs to become more stronger and for that Iran is important. So I guess the Israeli may say anything on face, but as a good friend much internally support India becoming stronger. So Israel should not bother about India and Iran relation. India's business with Iran is to make INDIA STRONGER and STRONGER INDIA means STRONGER ISRAEL.

And he runs a country under constant Jihadist threat? I don't think Indian's enemies share his sentiments for silence. More like emboldens them to continue to do what they do.

If my PM kept quiet in such events, i would demand his impeachment. A leader should lead, not sit politely and say nothing.

Unfortunately democracy is a becoming more like a cesspool these days in India. Dont expect much from this govt. We are as much disgusted with this useless,spineless, corrupt govt than anyone out there. Dude where do you get this stuff ?

The potential for trade with Israel is much much more than potential for trade with Iran. Our trade with Iran consists of only crude and some textiles, grain exports etc.

But with Israel it encompasses a whole lot from critical defence tech, scientific co-operations, space research, new technologies in irrigation, renewable energy, counter-insurgency training/exchange etc etc.
