Well the problem is that while yes it is hard to prove that you've been raped or harassed or whatever, if you go to the other extreme - i.e. you believe everything a woman says and jail a man based on her words, then that is no better. It is draconian in that all they need is an allegation to jail someone. The other laws you're talking about require investigation. In this case, from what I hear, they just jail on the allegation alone.

May i humbly ask how do you know that in most cases law is being misused??? Let me give you a small example of Rape Cases....Before the amendments law was that a women needs to bring in witness to prove that Rape has happened...Seems like our courts were of the opinion that rapist will rape his victim in full public glare...Social Stigma and lack of evidence prevented so many rapes go unpunished. Trend has changed in positive way when this idiotic conditions were removed....Not that social stigma syndrome has vanished but now days you do see women coming out in open about rape victims...

As far as misuse is concerned then can you please tell me if i go to a police station and complain that you have stolen money from me, will police act or not???? One of my friend got divorced and had to stay in Jail for one night because his x-wife lodge a false case using dowry Card. Obviously not being at fault he was released the very next day.... He had two choices then, sue her or forget about it and go for an out of court settlement. He choose later, but that does not mean Law did not gave him fair chance to sue his x-wife, no????

And not once i argued that it cannot be misused. I am saying how is this different from any other law because i can also lodge a FIR against you one fine Friday....Your friends family can simply sue the girl for falsely accusing them, it is their choice not to do it....

Anyhow seems we have given this more importance than what it deserves....

My mother has always told me that if a woman hits you for a stupid reason, then by all means hit her back.

Though I can understand why you'd say that. Many mothers teach their sons to never hit women, even if they hit them first. That's their self-entitled princess syndrome doing the work - it ensures that all guys get trained to be whipped and to continue taking **** from women all their life.

If it's because women are weak, then why does nothing like this come up if a weak man hits a strong man?

Its not a matter of justification, just walk off man. May be the woman has it coming, but you'd be doing a far better service to humanity by walking off since 99% of the time when a woman is hit in this world - she didn't deserve it. You and I have a responsibility to discourage men from hitting women for that reason.

Women are let off after doing **** too often. They face very little accountability for their wrongdoings. Just like if a weak male would probably get the hell beaten out of him if he were to do something to a stronger male, I don't see why it's wrong to at least hit the woman. Not even saying you need to beat her. Yeah, sometimes they don't deserve it, fair enough, but when they do, by all means I don't see a problem. I am not advocating hitting them if they don't deserve it.

I have seen some guys 'proudly' admitting that they don't hit a woman even after they get hit severely by them. Somehow trying to boast that as manly. I am sorry but taking **** and not standing up for yourself is not manly. They say that hitting a woman is not manly. But that is under the condition that you are hitting the woman first. They don't realize that as soon as a woman hits them first, it's not longer such. To me, that's about *****-whipped and as unmanly you can get.

I hate any kind of discrimination based on sexes. I and my frnds suffered a lot due to this. Few general discrimination:-
1) 33% reservation of seats in universities hence girls from my time with lower ranks enjoyed better colleges while I have to suffer.

2) During software companies recruitment process girls were given preference over guys, just to maintain male vs Female ration in organisation. Infosys is such one hypocrite where girl's 6-7 Qn were equal to Boy's 8-9 qn.

3) Dowry "False" cases are also on rise. My best frnd is suffering due to bad will of his wife and now running to Gurudwara and Court for settlement while his wife is asking whopping money for Alumni just to get marry to her lover.

4) In Mumbai, while Buses do have ladies special seats but they occupy general seats even ladies seats are vacant and then u have to stand.

5) My another frnd loves a girl and while she loves him as well but were afraid of saying anything. Once he tried to contact her somewhere in the road and she could not respond or some what frightened. Not to mention he was hit by so many people.

These are only few examples. I dont understand when the girls are doing job and matching 'shoulder to shoulder with men' why they need special laws, seats or reservations? When the old ethical rules are changing then what is point of continuing old morale like not hitting the women, ladies first??

The old rules of ladies first, never hit a woman, etc were based on a social contract. That social contract is now dead. Women act independently and don't need men. Hence they abandoned their side of the social contract and so did men (at least the ones who know whats going on).

The problem still, though, is something that I have stated before. Read it very carefully: Women want equality when it works in their interests, and they don't want equality (i.e. they want the old style chivalry and special treatment) when equality does not work in their interests. You see, wanting equality has two sides to it. In some cases it works in your favour, but sometimes it doesn't. Women pick and choose when they want equality. At work and education, women are capitalists. In their social life, they are socialists.

The worrying thing is though, men are completely oblivious to this. They do not see through this game. They give women exactly what women want, not realizing that they are getting played by women. The evidence of this is all over the place. Why is it that even though women can make money, men still have to pay the bills while women can spend money as they like. Why so many men continue to act chivlariously and like white knights, despite those things contradicting with equality (while at the same thing they also think that women are equal). etc, etc.

Absolute true... They want to break old age traditions which does not suit them but again they want those old age tradition as a right.. While they learn self defence and want to ready for any circumstances they always use opportunity to get treated like a lady and we guys are abid to do that for being GENTLEMEN.
