That's what I don't understand about police in India. I saw the same hitting when I was watching a documentary about Mumbai street children around Victoria station. In the doc, there was a suspected case of child rape, the social worker called the police but all that showed up was a fat dude in shirt sleeves and all he did was smack the child molester around a couple of times then let him go.

I saw that too but what can the police really do? they can't lock him up 4 eva

I have seen the dispatch videos which shows the lowest spectrum of Indian society. Not claiming such social ills doesn't exists, but considering that to be common norm is same as accusing you of cannibalism, not of good 'taste'.

Well the kid was given a choice to move away and live in a childrens home and get education but he run away from there after a few days because he was dependent on drugs and stuff. These social problems of run away kids is big issue just watch one film called salam bombay u will see how life is for such children but such problems are due to poverty the kids come from rural areas and broken homes they seek a better life in big cities but it was moving to see one such runaway case make it big in Mumbai and be businessman who is now helping such other kids as he was once b4.

You are talking about the former runaway who became a social worker in the video? I thought he perceptive and knew how to get the kids to open up to him about something as sensitive as rape.

Oh not that dude lol it was another guy he was a run away but now he made it big in the city and is helping such kids but the problem is these kids are hooked on glue and other things they become dependent of their abusers after a while

Yeah that part was pretty disturbing considering the age of the kids huffing solvents. They are especially susceptible to neurological development damage at that age.
