Meet Owj: Iran’s First Indigenous Fighter Jet Engine

There is no innocent passage of US warships entering Iran's waters as far as Iran is concerned. And we determine if the passage is innocent, not anyone else, because it's our territorial waters.
That argument implies that any US Navy's ships passage is not innocent, ever. Which is irrespective of the actual conduct of any particular US navy ship. That is a very unusual interpretation, to say the least, and I'm pretty sure an actual lawyer specialized in the relevant laws and treaties could and would make mince meat of that. But I'm not a lawyer, so ...

Well, Iran and the US are clearly not trusting of each other and are enemies. Therefore any trespass of Iranian waters will be first and foremost considered to be of hostile intent. This is simple military readiness IMO.

In this particular situation the sailors were arrested (for violating waters), then as their non-hostile intent was recognised they were freed.

Anyway, the situations recently encountered are not US ships IN Iranian waters. NEAR Iranian waters doesn't justify naval harassment.

I was talking about the incident mentioned earlier in the thread about the sailors in the broken down boat near Fars Island.

And I mentioned, in general (and not in response to any post of yours), that there is no inherent ban on any ships entering a country's territorial waters.

And don't forget Iran's experiences about gas turbines ... we'd acquired Its tech directly from Siemens

when usa say "my country , my rule" , others can use the same reasoning ... " our county , our water , our rule " ...

Yes, in principle, if you consider both Iran and US as participating in the general framework of UNCLOS (which many here expressly deny) but only on the basis of actual behaviours of specific ships in specific instances. Are you seeking confrontation?

If it was me , yes I would force USA to make her decision .... I doubt an " America first " man who want to rebuild USA , begin war ....

Although , if I had power , Iran could has more than 50-100 dirty nukes which half of them aimed at USA ....

But Don't worry , Hassan gov is full of cowards and they won't do anything ....

@OldTwilight Are you suggesting that striving to defuse tensions between Iran and the west is cowardice? You do realize, at least I hope you do, that having 50-100 dirty nukes aimed at the USA opens your country to nuclear strikes. Right now a non-nuclear country will never be subject to a nuclear attack.

Like japan for instance:hitwall:

But we are subject of conventional attackes ....

And if they nuke us , who will oppose them ?!
From my point of view , no one ....

As an Iranian who live in Iran , Im sure I care about my country than a citizen of USA ...

our missile forces can easily take care of not just one U.S battle group, but all of them.

That's why it's called asymmetric warfare.
No, it really can't. If you have to resort to asymmetric warfare, then you're admitting you're no equal and are fighting from a very weakened position.

Forgive me sir. You know nothing of Iran-US relations. You imagine Americans are beautiful angels that were saying hello to Iranians carrying flowers on their boats in Persian gulf and bad bad Iranians caught them in a savage manner. Because Iran had violated their boats with it's national waters. In fact Iran was violating their space. And Iran is guilty here
I would suppose you are a US-lover since now because you don't care they were violating Iran's territorial waters.
Not only are you assuming things about me, all of which are false, you're also delusional.

Your comment is immature, as such, it doesn't deserve a proper response.

For a country that used to import even a toothbrush before, Iran has been making giant strides in industry and indigenously produced components. Recently, on the country’s Defence Industry Day, President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, had unveiled the first domestically produced Turbojet engine “Owj” (Zenith), in a prestigious ceremony attended by press officials, industry experts, and scientists of the nation.

(The video attached has demo of live running of engine in wind tunnel or testing facility )
