Mardan university student killed over alleged blasphemy: police

. . .
This is a failure of the state, these social media terrorists first play with public sentiment n enrage them, than the govt always fails to take legal action against such vermin where an impartial and fair trail can be run in a court of law to ascertain whether actually blasphemy was committed and innocents released with their repo restored, if people see the courts punishing such people they will hand them over to the authorities next time, This lawlessness is a failure of the state, nothing else, enraged mobs are like this in every part of the world, its up to the governments to ensure people dont get enraged, that justice is dispensed only and only by the state via courts, This is bloody anarchy, if he was actually running a page that blasphemed than he got what he deserved, I have no soft corner in my heart for stupid assholes who think they can insult our prophet (pbuh) n get away with it but the problem here is that he might be innocent and the blood of an innocent is very heavy indeed, dont start bashing pakistan or its people, i say again its a failure of the state, enraged mobs are like this all over the world.. .

First of all Very sad incident , shouldn't happened .................
Time have come now State of Pakistan need to act on Blasphemy Law's Implementation...... When you hang Qadri but you don't even listen to other causes in Courts , That act take faith of People away from system.
We are Muslim country with Majority Muslims and Love of Our Great Prophet (PBUH) is every thing for US and other minorities have to understand this.
Time to have separate police + judicial system and one new departments for Blasphemy cases , Time to safe innocent lives and Time to Hang Real Blasphemers.
Time to Kill real people behind Bhansa Type, so people can have faith in Govt and System so we can save innocent getting killed.
As quick we act more lives we safe and less pain for Majority Muslims in shape of Blasphemies content.
We have laws but don't have proper implementation system. We need fourth Gen Media war sell ,, we need internet filters and censoring system . We are already to late in this field.

"No case had been filed against the two students prior to the incident and police had not been investigating the two on blasphemy charges.
The mob instead seems to have been incited by rumours circulating among the university's student body." Source

People who killed them needs to be hanged in chowk to make an example so that we can avoid such incidents in future. This isn't 12th century where mob is gonna decide everything.

“He was brilliant and inquisitive, always complaining about the political system of the country, but I never heard him saying anything controversial against the religion,” the teacher said.

"University administration official Fayaz Ali Shah confirmed that the mob of students had killed Mashal over allegations of 'blasphemy'.

He said over 20 officers had arrived at the scene, were unable to control the situation because there were so many students involved.

Hostel warden Muhammad Ali, recounting the incident, claimed that: "Three to four thousand students were approaching. I was alerted that they were approaching, so I closed the gates but they broke in, found Mashal and fired at him and started beating him."

Students said police had been alerted of the incident and were present on campus at the time. When asked why they didn't intervene, police said there were "too many people" in the mob for them to take on."

Irony is it happened in an "Educational Institute" where people go to get Education.

The bold part. It really hurts. After investigation(I hope and pray for proper , real and fair investigation base on merits ) if this proves then find those who spread the roomers make them extra ordinary example and then Apply Law of the Land to all others.

Dawn article says victim was beaten for "promoting the Ahmadi faith on Facebook" does this comes under blasphemy as well?

The local reports say that students' mob who had killed the boy, happen to be from political groups so facts can be different than this allegation.

If we go by outlook of people in KPK specially Pashtuns then trust me nobody here promotes any anti-Islamic substance.

Proper investigation needed to ascertain the facts

Islam and Pakistan was saved by this killing perhaps? The honour of the deen has been defended. The Sarkari momins can now go back to their usual day to day activities of blowing up in markets, taking and giving bribes, abusing children and throwing acid on women and selling counterfeit medicines etc.

Forget about all that, this guy's facebook posts were more dangerous to the society and against Islam than the above widespread activities that happen in Pakistan.

Any one knows the fb page allegedly run by these guys??

Yes pakistan is the only place on earth where crimes happen, the rest of the world is serene and beautiful and peaceful right?, dont patronize the concept of momin by linking crimes of human passion with it, when a crime is committed emaan is the only thing that actualy hold people back sometimes and fear of Allah, that is why pakistani society is less perverse than western ones even with some of the worlds worst policing and judicairy systems and why are u still linking emaan driven people with suicide blasts when it has been clearly proven that foriegn intels were running groups like ttp who used to brainwash young minds with modern psychiatric techs including use of opium to commit those acts, they were only given the religious cover so that the enemy can strike at the islamic foundation of pakistan and make islam and the concepts of jihad something dangerous in the eyes of pakistani muslims hence taking away our teeth and the source of our strength that united us, dont present the narrative of the enemy by linking islam with suicide blasts again, u are not a 2 yr old, u must know all this yet if u still propogate the narrative of the enemy than u might've ulterior motives or questionabke alliances, this scenario was a failiure of the state, blasphemy law is a valid law in pakistan, and just as in other cases the courts fail to provide justice hence leading to enraged mobs running rampant, order is only achieved through rule of law, where the law fails humans tend to become animals..

Dimagh kharab hai in mullaho ka. Had ho gaye hain yar. What is this rubbish?! These mobs need to be slaughtered. How dare they take law into their hands? Jahil harami. Yahan par blasphemy charge child's play hain. Throw Quran pieces outside the house of your enemy and then shout blasphemy and watch the show. Most likely half of those burning or accusers were jealous of his achievements as apparently he was a model student.

This is the result of people like Bhensa not being caught by the government under the pretext of foriegn pressure. Mob mentality takes over.
Again, this does not look like something done in onr day- it was brewing since "4 thousand" or however many a mob does not come together in one day.

It looks more like a case of him being ratted out on a different pretext other than blasphemy- perhaps even a political reason with some local bigwigs

Nonsense, questioning the actions of irrational animals who take laws in to their hands does not mean propagating the narrative of the enemy.

Why bring Western societies or TTP or the rest of the world in to this? We are not discussing the actions of others, we can do that on the thousands of other threads running on this forum.

We are speaking about the actions of so called students in an educational institution. These are supposedly the students of a university where the pursuit of knowledge, unbiased knowledge, is supposed to be encouraged and students are supposed to critically evaluate and discuss ideas. But what we have seen today is a mockery of decency and education.

What has this go to do with Jihad? You are all over the place with that post, come back when you have a coherent answer.

Also, the students alleged that blasphemy had been committed by this individual, which is why I brought Eman in to this.
