I have little faith in 'doing' anything about it except through a long drawn out, self whittling round of confrontation. Every time the army steps into a civilian issue things get worse. They know this so they want to stay away. What we learn from andhra is probably that if put up with this and keep plowing with police action for a decade and a half, you might start slowly winning.....whatever. neither the indian government nor the people are doing anything on this issue.
I am wondering when will GOI say enough is enough????
I believe the problem can be solved to a large extent if we can change our land laws. I heard that in some countries like Malayasia the land ownership extents to the middle of the earth. Why cant we do that in India.Make natural resources except for sensitive items like uranium under private ownership. If i have iron ore under my house let the mining companies come to me, talk to me and give me a good deal. The Govt should only act as a impartial administrator and nothing more.
