Go back and read that again. You can get a divorce if your spouse isn't having sex with you. Thus, you shouldn't be raping your spouse.

Forcing yourself is equal to raping..there is no if or but.

I said husband/wife is entitled to divorce if the other doesn't fulfill his marital obligations aka having sex. If I am correct even impotency in one of the partners is sufficient enough for divorce. So if wife is not ready to have sex with you, you can legally divorce your wife. No need to force yourself on her.

Why should one have extra marital affairs when you can legally divorce their wife if she chose to with held sex.

rather than bringing equality the Western society has empowered women more than men now .

Unfortunately i am seeing this trend in middle class and upper class urban india as well . Women just because of their gender get away with a lot .

This won't be an ideal future at all . This would be like going from one extreme to another . balance and true equality is required.

I don't know about India, but all feminism has done for women in the West is given them the "freedom" to be objectified.

Well eventhough I agree with your points but one cannot argue against the need for having special laws to protect women in India where young women are killed off for many things including honour.

Yes laws are needed to stop female infanticide, honor killing etc.
But look at the flip side.
Have you ever wondered why female infanticide isn't decreasing despite of having a stringent law??
It's because men are eternally regarded as the bread winner for the family,not women. A woman will be married off and will be looking after a different family(her "own") whereas a man will eventually have to look after his own family+ his "own" family i.e two families.
Thus having a male child is a kind of financial security.
Now, you think this is a privilege for men??.....I think, Its is a burden only taken by men because a woman can claim equal right to her father's property but her brother has to look after the family alone+his own wife and children i.e two families.
Why don't the equality seeking feminists try to make it mandatory for both women and men to share the burden of the family equally when modern women are excelling in every fields like men. This way women will no longer be regarded as a financial burden from birth(as they will also have to provide financial support to their father's family, like men) which will eventually help reduce female infanticide.

AND things like honour killings are the outcome of a very complicated socio-economic condition of the country which involves caste system and religious dogmas..... .these are actually disrespect towards fellow human beings not merely women. it's actually just the opposite. The honor of a woman has become so much that it's turning into her killer...how ironic. I guess reducing the "honor" a bit can solve the problem...LOL
Therefore when people will learn to respect their fellow human being regardless of men,women,caste,religion etc. then these incidents will automatically cease.

Thus only making laws won't solve the problem. One has to eliminate the root causes.
