Maldives shows courage to defy India

RSS worldview: hindutva india was a cardle of civilization and the pagan land once stretched from Cambodia to afghanistan as a united akhand bharat. Muslims, chirstians are invaders and alien to the region. Thus hindutva india has the right to cleanse muslims from the subcontinent. Such cleansing also involves political domination of the region and if domination not possible then cause anarchy and bloodshed in countries to make them succumb to their hegemonic demands. Muslims in BD, maldives, PAK must be slaves to New Delhi or die and such master-slave relation demands that stooges of New Delhi be allowed to rule them and suck their blood. As for indian muslims , since vedic science already proved that they r culturally and DNA wise hindus, they can be force converted or be killed in mass.

I think that's enough for an introduction. For more i refer to professor. google and urge u to keep an eye on everyday news abt anti-muslim/minority riots in India and think with an open mind and use your intellect.

Akhand bharatis have this strange notion of "Maldives is in india's sphere of influence even before bjp got a single seat in lok sabha ".

SO influencing SL to force maldives to succumb to India's demands is not interference?

You are so dumb ! There is no forcing in Intetnational poilitics. All countries do what is good for their country. If they think being in India's sphere of influence is good for their country, they will be.

It seems this pagan Rajeev sharma of First Post and some of your butt hurt countrymen doesn't agree with u. I bet butcher modi and his gang of muggers in south block also doesn't agree with u.

Winning over Maldives: Why Sri Lanka is key to Modi's diplomatic agenda in Indian Ocean - Firstpost

All I am saying in direct involvement is not necessary but we can do a lot by isolating the present govt. and may also put some sanctions.

If the entire world community rally for Mr Nasheed and stop sending tourists then it will definitely bring this present govt. to its senses.

We have already stopped the grant payment $25 million to the present government when they removed the Indian company GMR from operating the International airport. More sanctions will ensue in future.

India shouldnt be worried much about political vendetta.

Maldivians are very much dependent on India, being in the city that is the closest to Maldives i do know it.

Tiny Maldives has demonstrated extraordinary courage to defy the regional power India. President Yameen Abdulla refused to yield to the pressure mounted by India to release Mohammad Nasheed, former president of Maldives and trusted friend of Delhi. Instead, Nasheed was dragged to the court like an ordinary accused, to face trial on terrorism charges. If the charges are proved, he may be barred from contesting any election to the frustration of India which was hopeful of bringing back Nasheed to power in the next presidential contest due in 2018.

Embarrassed, India has cancelled the visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Maldives scheduled for March 15. An official announcement in Male said Indian government informed the visit of Narendra Modi was cancelled because the local environment is not conducive’. Indian foreign office in Delhi said our concerns have not been heeded, and in this situation it makes little sense for the Prime Minister to pay an official visit to Maldives.

Male Ignores Delhi’s warning
The truth is it is only for Nasheed that Modi cancelled the visit. Maldives President Yameen Abdulla was aware of it and he is willing to absorb the consequences of annoying Delhi, whatever those may be.
It is difficult to believe that Maldives will not go by the demand of India. But this is precisely what has happened. This is the bolt from the blue for the Indian government. Maldives is an eye opener for all the neighbours of India who have been unwillingly accepting political and economic domination of the Big Brother.
A tourist paradise and an Islamic state, Maldives is comprised of more than a thousand dotted islands with a population of barely 3,50,000. The country has long been under political and economic domination of India, until the fall of Mohammad Nasheed in a silent coup early 2012. The successive governments of Dr Mohammad Waheed and the newly elected President Mohammed Yameen developed close ties with China. It became a partner of China’s Maritime Silk Road. Chinese President Xi Jinjping visited Maldives and offered generous assistance for infrastructure development. President Yameen’s relationship with China annoyed India. Delhi alleged that China is set to build a military base in a southernmost island of Maldives as part of its String of Pearls. The allegation was refuted by both Beijing and Male.
India’s concern over the arrest of Nasheed and demand for his release was rejected by Maldives saying “no imperialist power can dictate how to run its domestic affairs.” President Yameen on Sunday warned the opposition Maldives Democritic Party (MDP) of Nasheed against political unrest with external assistance. “Foreigners will not be allowed to meddle in domestic affairs,” he told function slamming MDP leaders seeking foreign interference.

Indian diplomacy failed
It can be safely deduced that China and Pakistan were behind the bold and firm stand taken by poor Malides. Without a concrete commitment from Beijing, there is no way Maldives has challenged India the way it has done. Otherwise, India would have, by now, taken stern action which Maldives could not resist.
There is another factor that might have restrained India from taking the risk of directly interfering in Maldives. India itself is having serious internal security problem - Maoist insurgency in central India and separatist grave threat to the internal security of the country. Under the situation India is unlikely to take adventurous venture in any country enjoying genuine friendly ties with China.
The First Post of India wrote on March 8 that Narendra Modi’s cancellation of Maldives visit in many ways is a danger signal for India. It conveys a chilling fact that the Maldivian government has opted for taking on India rather than going for the option of releasing Nasheed and keeping India in good humour. The Modi government must understand that the Yameen government has raised the stakes for India by what many Indians would call intransigence.
This also reflected failure of Indian diplomacy. For almost a fortnight Delhi waited for release of Nasheed who was arrested on February 22. But Male did not oblige. The Indian diplomacy in Maldives has failed to melt the ice. In other words, India has been unable to engineer a breakthrough in the past fortnight. Obviously, India tried every trick in the book of diplomacy with the Yameen government. But, it looks like that nothing was to be changed and the Maldivian government’s actions as well as intentions were cast in stone.
The real test for India awaits now. India’s diplomatic see-saw vis a vis Maldives starts now. Indian analysts believe the Maldivian diplomatic chessboard is easier to conquer than using the muscle power. Needless to say, whatever overt or covert steps the Indian government decides to take in Maldives, China should be at the centre of all such forthcoming strategies of Delhi.

If I remember correctly,He's the man behind GMR issue and people all over the world cheered him as a "Chinese Stooge".in fact, even in PDF,he was symbol of the man who "Stood up against India".but alas,it doesn't matter to Jamaat caders as they want to bash India anyhow.

. .
All we have to do is bar them from entering our country.

One by one as they sink, they'll have to find new home very soon.

Perhaps Middle East or Pakistan or even Bangladesh might be good alternatives for them.

Well south block bigots will definitely try to cause anarchy in maldives. Maldives need to learn from political scenarios of other countries in the region and put these low life hindutvadis in their filthy place.

Yes, yes, if only you could actually do something to put anyone in their place.

No all you were saying is that "then we have no business interfering in their internal politics." and acting gullible like a typical indian. But u finally come around admitting what your pagan GOI actually intends to do i.e interfere in the internal affairs of maldives to make them conform to indian hegemonic imperialistic wet dreams. Now India does that like a typical hegemon, but why whine and deny such facts when people point that out? U r the same poster who whines every time we BDs talk abt blatant pagan hegemony in our country.

Btw what makes u think the world will see maldives through the eyes of pagan india?

I am not sure what is more disgusting.....this Third class article or the name of the author

And i wonder what Arabs would Post ...whom are invited to comment

How is it disgusting? Do u pagans have a alien sense of palatability?

U have a problem with people tagged in a open forum?

You make it sound like 'pagan' is a bad word, you utterly moronic, book-following bender.

Religious fanatics (one-track minds) like you are a dime a dozen, and are a pointless waste of oxygen. :D

Did that sound bad to you? :undecided: May be its indeed bad then  bcs i never try to make it sound like something bad.
