That is still a lot of money. No doubt, there'll be strings attached. And there's still a lot of unused capacity in the current one. Why fix something that's not broken?

Again you are making fuzz about something which does not exist in this case. Its a private venture, and if anybody wants to take a risk with their money, so be it. Why do you care? Nobody going to take away Zia, it will still be here.
Beside new airport will bring fresh new business which current airport does not. The target market is beyond the middle eastern labor.
