“Make in India” for HAL trainer, import of Swiss trainer capped

.
Do you? Stop using your foreign made computer parts and cut me some slack. Newbie like you should avoid a defense forum and especially This one.

@waz @Horus Please Check this guy's posts. He is giving uncalled rants to other members.

Just seems like a poster who needs to post more to understand how things run here my friend.

I didn't know so much was out in by HAL. why is IAF so keen on importing when HAL has invested its own money into this project & has agreed to all conditions?

Good decision by DAC. I was initially against this but now fully support this. We can make do with additional 38 PC-7s till HTTs are in.

But this should have zero delays.

That Foreign mal saves the lives of our soldier in the battle. It doesn't fall outta sky for no reasons and kill the pilots even when it is not fighting anyone! Lives of our soldiers matter not the indigenous ego bullshits. I have always supported indigenous products but only when they are at par with the other stuffs of the same class available around the world. Else there is no use.

I bet you use Maruti car and Patanjali toothpaste for your teeth? And I also bet you never ate at any foreign fast food chain store?

Buddy, MAKE IN INDIA has to start somewhere right? IAF has been cleared to buy 38 additional trainers from Pilatus, but till they come HAL has committed funds and timelines for HTTs.

If they have agreed to all clauses, we should give them a chance. We need to master our own tech at some point man.

We can work on both areas simultaneously. Before you ask me what I use, I use Dabur toothpaste, drive Mahindra Scorpio, use HCL laptop and use only Ayurvedic and traditional medicines while avoiding anti biotics. :D

Make in India has already started. But HAL will invest time and money in this trainer instead of the Important project like LCA, AMCA, LCA mk2 then I don't think its worth it. Its a basic trainer. Its doesn't matter if purchased from other countries. Instead HAL could invest that time and manpower elsewhere. In my opinion India is way past building basic trainers and should focus on some real aircraft project where they are way behind schedule. Except for a few hundred Jobs and some money, no significant experience would be gained by HAL.

@waz @Horus @Oscar @WebMaster This guy is getting personal now and I would request an immediate ban on him.

As for his quote, HTT-40 came into existence ON PAPER in early 2012 when IAF was already evaluating and in the selection process of the Trainer. HTT-40 is still not ready after 3 years and it is still going to take a hell lot of time to be inducted.
